I've just manged to transfer £3400 by FP from my Halifax a/c to Tesco internet saver by sending 5 seperate payments of £1000, £900, £500, £500, £500.
Does anyone know the Halfax daily FP sending limit per account?0 -
RBS do faster payments, I've only done them in the branch when I'm getting close to the due date for bills so I don't incur any interest but I'm sure you can do them to other banks.0

I've managed 5k before, and chief cashier in my local branch said that their systems allow them to send 5k - so i'd guess this is the per account limit0 -
As of yesterday LTSB online sameday FP is back - (at least 4 me) - 10 K daily limit 1K transaction limit :j
Is it offered as a separate function to the existing a) pay asap b) future payment date?
Nothing showing up on my account!“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -

If you do not input a date and the amount is upto £1000 it goes FP immediately, you can then put in more payments upto the daily limit of £10000 - at least that was my experience yesterday pm. ......

I've just put in the Transfers and Payments section one payment to Halifax for £1,000 but it shows up as going out on the 14th, so what do you do to make it go instantly - do you telephone them?0 -

In case its relevant my account is a classic with vantage
Maybe give 'em a ring and see if they can give you some criteria - however on past performance don't hold your breath.0 -
I've tried ringing them before and it seems hit and miss.
Yes I have Classic Vantage as well.
The ticking clock has only ever appeared with me when I have set up a completely new payee.
I want to send £1,000 to Halifax.
I tried £1,000, £500, £400, none of them worked.
So rang telephone banking, she tried £1,000 - no luck, tried £500 it went as FP. I could see it instantly in Halifax.
So I said send a second, the system wouldn't allow (loads of money in the Lloyds, so that isn't the problem). I was told, that they always say wait for 2 hours for it to clear, so even though the first has gone through, I will wait for 2 hours and then try again.
She said somedays it works and sometimes it fluctuates throughout the day as well and for varying amounts. It's very frustrating. Either have a system which works 100% or 0%, at least that way you know where you stand.
Thanks for your help. If my 2nd payment goes through I'll keep you posted.0
