Faster payments - who can send and receive

Can somebody Clarify if Faster Payments Work The other way i.e from A&L sort code 72 50 02 to another bank say Tesco or TSB that accepts the faster payment system, if so can somebody also clarify the daily cash limits on this transfer. Thanks in anticipation

Just a update on A&L tried to transfer funds yesterday & cash is not showing up in my Tesco account 24hrs later , either the updating system is poor or I am unable to send FP from my A&L account to Tesco Finance. Im almost sure the system does not allow FP transfers out as my Tesco internet account has had no additional funds added 24 hrs later

Might be worth giving em a ring. I had the same a couple of weeks ago with FP from Natwest which has always worked. When I rang for somee reason it was in a queue for security checks. As soon as I rang it was released immediately, if I had not called it would have been dealt with "when they got to it in their list"

Anyone know if Ulster Bank works (It's owned by RBS, so I guess it should), but can anyone confirm that?

Citibank's Faster Payments page must be diarised for updating half-yearly to change the implementation date. Until recently it was showing an expected date of late 2009. This has now (not entirely unexpectedly) been updated to mid-2010.

I might suggest to them that they save themselves the trouble of the biannual update and just change it to "sometime never (or after we transfer our UK business to another bank, whichever is the sooner)" :rotfl:

I have sent in a single session 10X £1000 On-line payments from LTSB since it was reinstated a couple of months ago. I did a few tests to establish limits :
Transaction limit £1000
Daily limit 10K

I think it was on a Sunday -normally do stuff from Lloyds on Sunday 'cos pre FP you could put in a transaction Sunday am and have it leave Sunday after 3 (that's already Monday for Lloyds :rolleyes:)

Can Coventry BS send FPs yet. I have a vague recollection they can but I sent a payment from a CBS savings account to my RBS current account and it has yet to appear 3 hours later.

I don't believe so, though they can receive FPs.
