    Mortgage-free Glee!
have spoken to oh at last - i'm sorry i have been mysterious about the situation, but it's so complicated and i know some people will make judgements if i tell the whole story (although not on this board, i think - everyone on here is sooooo gentle and lovely) however, neither oh or i are doing anything wrong (not married or anything) but the situation is complicated.

i have been fearful because he has been in the deepest part of depression and not been able to make contact, but tonight he did pick up when i called. not sure his future includes me any more, but we'll see.

anyway - that was just an update, and thanks for your kind wishes and hugs - it helps to know people care.

    evening all,

Smoky, I think the holiday is a good idea too, it is always going to be hard at christmas, and perhaps the break would help xx

Stefjb, I had the same problem with my dd at school, with children calling her fat, I went straight to the parents concerned and told them, they were mortified, and gave their kids a good telling off, and made them say sorry, I think at that age they tend to grow out instead of up, but they soon catch up with themselves Hugs to your DD xx

Pen pin, hugs to you xx

Candy, sorry about the freezer xx

    Have good evenings all xx

Ohh candy, is it really ALL ruined? I hope you are insured, as it can be quite expensive to replace an entire freezer's content. I don't have a freezer as there's no space in my small flat, but I don't think I'd want one anyway. :o

So glad your dad is feeling ok. :) xxx

    Evening all

Have eaten far too much toad-in-the-hole and now feel like a big fat pig! It's my favourite comfort food my Mum always cooked for me when everyone else was out.

PENPIN hugs. CANDY sorry to hear about your freezer. Hugs to your Dad.

Managed to be quite productive at the allotment. Went to see my MIL, my FIL has broken his hip and is in hospital. Doesn't look like they'll operate as his heart is so bad. MIL looks terrible. Will go and see him tomorrow.

Going to lie down and let my dinner go down!

    Have a good night all

    Evening everyone :hello:

(((hugs))) to Penny Pincher, candygirl and smokybabe. Apologies to those that I've missed out. Take a (((hug))) each. :)

stefjb - can you take the issue with the Welfare Officer further? The equivalent at my school (albeit an infant school!) would be tearing a strip off the offending children - especially if they're "repeat offenders".

I had the most bizarre afternoon at school. We (my class and I) had a dance session and we were following the instructions on a DVD. Needless to say, I have two left feet but they were all VERY impressed with my version of the Macarena. Sadly, I'm not joking. Strange how I knew every move to that............. mis-spent youth/late teenage years, springs to mind. :rotfl:

DH has requested that I tell you all that he's doing the ironing. So there you go! Now you know.

I popped into Mr T's on the way home tonight and managed to get to the yellow sticker section when there wasn't anyone else in front of it! I got some fish cakes for 57p and some fresh soup. The soup we had tonight and the fish cakes will be saved for another day. I was impressed that I didn't go too over board.

I need to get some rest for tomorrow. I'm going with DH's sisters for a spa day at a spa near his biggest sister's house. It's the Christmas treat from his parents. Should be good as we get a floatation tank treatment and a massage. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm..................

Right, better go for now. Take care everyone.

am leaving well alone for now as I have had several rollockings from dd for "betraying her confidence". Told Mr Caringsharing that dd is on a sort of diet so he came in with fish and chips and chocolate mousse - sigh. He seems to have invited himself here for the night and is currently sat in the best chair, in his pants, watching footie with a bottle of red wine - oh happy memories NOT!

    evening all,

wore my pedometer today anbd yesterday as determined to get fitter and healthier WITHOUT expensive hitech gym etc. I bike and walk everywherereally but wanted to see just how much wlaking around i do in a 'normal' day. ie one without long walks into town with DS or running around at softplay.

Today I droppped DS at nursery (10 min walk) and picked him up, went to the local shops and apart from that stayed indoors packing stuff for holiday and doing general housework. I even had a 3 hr nap (DS been waking me up at 4am for past week plus I've got achy bones from a bad fall down the stairs earlier this week)

Found just now that after what I considered a low key day I've done 11,000 steps!! (no wonder I'm knackered)

Cooked tea using things left in fridge before clearing for hols, also made packed lunch to use up bread going cheap rather than buying lunch somewhere pricey on route.

DS is making progress on potty training, will be VERY glad when he's out of nappies as expensive plus they take up so much room when packing!

bad news; DH forgot to put his clothes in pile to be washed in time so they had to go in tumble dryer tonight so they are dry enough to pack :(
