Awww smokey hun, I've missed you. :A

I don't come in here very often because I seldom have anything useful to say and I feel I'd be posting to no purpose and that's what the Arms is for...:o
But it's heart warming to see there is a supportive and encouraging community in here, and that so many peeps have found comfort. There but for the grace of God...

So glad to see all is well with you! :)

Glad you first day back at work went well, you are doing so well x

With regard to the holiday, if what they were saying this morning on the telly is right, you would probably be better booking sooner rather than later as they are predicting massive fuel rises. Just check with the travel agent that your price is fixed at the time of booking, and they won't come back later asking for more money.

(((Hugs))) to you PenPin - I wish you could just feel 100% better - it must be so hard to live with pain and ill health all the time. My heart goes out to you and I think you are so brave and strong.

SMOKY - so glad that yesterday went so well. I would definitely treat yourself and the LOs to a holiday this Christmas; it will, I'm afraid, be the hardest Christmas of all if you stay at home and, as you say, the children have not had a holiday and you certainly deserve one after all you've been through. If you book it soon, it will be a wonderful thing to think about and plan over the next six months; the children will love the thought of it and it will help just a little to take the edge off all the sadness.(((Hugs))) to you all.

    Hi everyone

Spent last nite making a St.George's Costume for DS2 today, as the school is celebrating Refugee Week - so everyone can dress in their culture clothes for a special assembly. He looked quite good actually! I made the tabard out of a white pillow case and painted on the red cross - and DH made a shield and sword cut out of cardboard and covered in tin foil - he's pretty nifty in the crafting skills - much better than me:rolleyes: :o Maybe I should be the one going back to work and him the one whose staying at home doing all the kiddy stuff:rolleyes:

I've just embarrassed myself with a phone call to the council about being missed out this morning on the Orange Recycling bags delivery. Turns out DH had put them in the cupboard and didnt tell me - oops:silenced::o  :rotfl:
(Keep taking the tablets shez!)....:o

Mushroom risotto for tea tonite to use up the Mega box I got reduced in sainsburys early this week:D

Smokey - holiday sounds a good idea.

:grouphug: (Hugs) to everyone who feels like one

    Hello everyone

I had another silent scream this morning when the phone bill arrived. It is always under £50. Today however it was over £100!!! Seems they have added in my internet line rental or useage or something as the cost of phone calls has remained remarkably similar to previous bills. My poor brain nearly exploded so I've decided to sleep on it for a day or two, then dig out all the paperwork (which is still on my desk waiting to be filed:o but don't tell AussieLass as she'll take the wee wee out of me) and try and see where exactly how I managed to attract such a high rental charge.

The job front ....grrr again!! What I think of recruitment agencies isn't fit to be written in a public forum such as this. It is quite funny in a stupid sort of way as ultimately I'll be working in HR and if I am recruiting for a company will know what agencies not to use...so they are effectively shooting themselves in the foot. Not that that seems to occur to them...

Quaser - nice to see you! How are your tweetie pies? Sorry to hear about your wo*k situation - it's so nice to be comfortable isn't it! At least you know you'll be OK and that you can make some alterations so that your lifestyle doesn't change too much.

r.mac - have a fabulous weekend if we don't see you again before you set off.

Smoky - you are sounding v.positive and in control, even if you don't always feel like that. You should be proud of yourself!

    Bye for now

    Afternoon all,

Early for me today as I had a hospital appointment for a second opinion on my ankle, so 6 x-rays, lots of prodding and poking later and an appointment for a MRI scan to come through, I decided I deserved to sit down with my feet up and a coffee!

But WM is on, last nights load has been taken off the line and put away, BM is on for dough to make bread rolls for next weeks lunches. When the oven is on for them I shall make a batch of hobnobs. So I will be fairly productive!

Smoky, a holiday sounds like a good idea, a change of scenery will help take the edge off your sorrow, so glad yesterday went well for you.

Hugs to Penpin, hope you feel better soon.
r.mac you sound better today, hope you manage to keep some food down.
    Jayward, hugs to you too.
    Anyone heard from Catowen?

For anyone I haven't mentioned who needs hug please help yourself there are plenty to go round.

WM is about to finish so best get on.

Have a fabulous Friday one and all.

just popped in before carrying on with my organised chaos!

Smokey glad to here that yesterday went well. so pleased.

PenPin you sound really positive which is great. Hopefully you'll be back on your feet sooner rather than later :)

Snowyowl sorry to hear you are getting the run around!

Well, I'm feeling very pleased with myself. Done 4 loads of washing, and all the ironing. I even managed to cook some pasta and eat a bowlful. I'm also making sure that I have lots of fluids. the prospect of a drip and a hospital has definate helped with that one ;)

just got to hoover and finish packing for DH. I got an email with his 'requests' this morning and had to laugh - he had remember socks and t-shirts, but not underpants or jeans!!! Just as well my brain is half functioning to help him out :D

well ta ta for now and see you all on monday - have a nice time everyone :D
