Also try the Army Families Federation - they may be able to help getting legal advice for you as well as advice on housing etc. Have you spoken to the unit Welfare Officer/ Families Officer?

    hi

I don't know anything about this really, but my only advice would be to see a lawyer. Where are you in Germany? Both Army Legal and RAF legal services are based in Herford - it might be worth contacting them so you know where you stand legally. If your dh was being unlawfully discharged they would be able to advise and fight your corner.

Sorry, I don't have anything more constructive to add - just think this is a terribly worrying situation for you. I hope you get some resolution soon.

Thank you everyone, we do have a civvie lawyer waiting on the sidelines, just in case! We have been to herford and they advised my DH to get a lawyer.

We are now being able to stay till the kids finish school. Families office are not much help, they are trying their best but the things we need are things they cannot sort out.

But thanks to everyone for the messages of luck etc, I really appreciate it xx

They can't just kick you out of an mq anymore. Make them evict you, then you'll be officially homeless and entitled to help from the council.

Surprised that the Army are kicking someone out without just cause as it could cost them a hell of a lot in compensation if they are found to be in the wrong. OP - can you shed more light on it please.

Hi all, just got back online. We are now out of germany and in a "surplus" quarter that they want us out of by tomorrow!! It is a quarter that is substandard to say the least but it is a roof over our heads.

Not much I am allowed to say about the discharge as there is a harrassment investigation ongoing at the moment, DH;s official discharge date is tomorrow and no decision has been made yet, apparently it is going to be some time before a decision is forthcoming.

Thanks to you all for the messages of support. Still feels like we are banging our heads against a brick wall but DH has another job. Just a shame that the wages are less than half what he was getting in the forces.

Don't leave the mq. Make them take you to court and evict you. See a soliciter or speak to Shelter or the cab or SSAFA.

Look on the debt free forum and housing forum on here for more info. YOu still have the same rights even hough you're in an mq.

thanks bettie, unfortunately my local council are trying to stuff us all into one room at a b+b, rather than trying to get us a permanent house. I;m just about cracking up with the pressure of it all. Trying to stay strong for the kids. Although my youngest has just been refused a place at the nearest nursery which is an hours walk away at the same school as the oldest. If the council got us a house it would take at least one worry away but nothing seems to be happening at the moment. Just trying to keep heads above water.

thanks for all the advice, i appreciate it loads. xx
