When is a child too old for cuddles?

They will be needing the security of love and lots of cuddles, especially because of the changes in their lives and the arrival of new babies, who will be getting plenty of attention. This is very threatening for children to be going through.

If they are given the love and reassurance they need, they will be able to grow up feeling secure, confident and with self esteem. They will be able to cope in the adult world.

Not many of us ever lose the need to be cuddled by the people we love.

I also believe Never too Old for cudles!
My ds (10) often comes to me for a hug, while LOVE getting a cuddle from my nan (i'm 34, she's 92).
I believe a cuddle says something words can't.

never too old for a cuddle, my twin sons give me a cuddle everytime they leave the house for school, and always before bed. usually before bed if there is something on tv, that we all watch together we sit cuddled on the sofa and they are 13 now. the only rule is no cuddling in front of their friends

You are never too old for a hug.:T My kids who are all teenagers now(eeek) still want hugs, not as often as when they were little but they still want and get them!

I have a 7 month old and a 5 year old they both get loads of cuddles and my 5 year old has more hugs than ever scince baby came along.
I agree that the older ones sometimes need extra love and hugs when new babies are born.

My DD3 (16) is on top of me every evening.
She is a soppy date.


I do find it a bit disconcerting when she stares at me lovingly for ages.

I know, it's me not her.
