When is a child too old for cuddles?

No child is ever too old for cuddles. At 18, with a smashed jaw and in agony (suffered quite a horrific accident), I was cuddled by my Mum and practically sitting on her knee (she was trying to stop the bleeding as my arms wouldn't move) whilst waiting in the casualty department to be seen.
All kids (and big kids) need a cuddle sometimes no matter how old they are, it shows you care.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You are never too old to give your Mum a hug - at least thats what I say to my kids! But that applies to any adult too. My two still snuggle up with me on the sofa sometimes. You will find that children stop climbing onto your lap themselves (they get too big!!) Mine just sit next to me on the sofa now and link arms sometimes. They also come up to me in the kitchen and give me a hug. i always make sure that no mater what I am doing I stop and hug them back, even if im really busy! I totally agree with all the above posters!
I would be tempted to mention not in accussing way what you said about babies in both houses & needing reassurance etc - they genuinely might not have thought it through like thatI THINK is a whole sentence, not a replacement for I KnowSupermarket Rebel No 19:T0 -
Hugs are the best and we all need them...my 11 ds1 still hugs me before he gets out of the car to go to school (he is as big as me already eek!) and he doesnt give a monkeys . I have always been cuddly with my 3 kids and always will be. It might be an idea to have a sit down ,cuppa tea and a bicky and tell them in as nice a way as possible that this little one just needs a bit of reasurance and an extra big hug ...I am sure if they are reasonable people and you do it carefully they will agree with you.JAN GC- £155.77 out of £200

well I'm always up for a cuddle and I'm well past 21!!
both my children, 14 & 11 have cuddles and regularly climb into our bed of a weekend for a hug. we are very close and I hope that doesn't stop.0 -
My teenage son is 15, bigger than me and still dives on me for a cuddle! Admittedly, I do start turning blue after a few minutes but its part of the charm0

late 20s..... and when i'm home and something bad has happened, a cuddle from mum or dad helps! although these days i tend to get more from my OH instead.... but sometimes a hug from a parent just makes things better!:happyhear0
