Do you ever sell your prizes???

I also try to only enter the ones I would like - but sometimes when I am entering one I would like and you can just click the other boxes for other prizes I must admit I usually do.
I do not enter ones for students etc as someone else also said.
I also have not sold prizes and as Duke said I do have a few prizes around thet could be sold but cannot be ar**d.
I won two DVDs that I would not watch last year and took them into HMV they were still sealed I was honest and said I had won them and changed them for something I would watch.

I love selling prizes! I am almost disappointed now when I win something that I can use. Much prefer entering comps for things I would never use. This hobby helps supplement my income (although not very well!).
Most things I sell though are things I have picked up cheap at charity shops.0 -
Sometimes i sell, sometimes i keep, sometimes i give things to family. I dont think its bad karma lol, im not doing anything wrong!!Do good and good will come to you.0

I enter comps with prizes that I want to keep or that I think will sell on ebay, begining of this year I won a guitar that I sold on ebay for over £400. With this money I bought most of the stuff my daughter needs for her first baby (due in 10 days yayyyy) :j :j :j I don't feel the slightest bit guilty about this because if I hadn't had won the guitar my daughter would not have half the stuff she needs.
I am really struggling with day to day living at the moment and if selling prizes I have won in ebay helps to stop my house being reposessed (how do you spell that word)
then I will do so. Each to their own and I'm sure no MSer will look down on anyone that does sell prizes 'cos they all too scrummy to do that:D 2008 won £5119.04 :j
2009 won so far £0:rotfl:
All together now..........

I give my prizes away sometimes, but have never sold any.
But don't think there's anything wrong with it really; once it's yours, you should be able to do what you want with it.
I also understand that it's hard with tickets/ events etc when at the time of entering you think you'll be able to go and really want to, but then something might come up and you end up winning the tickets and are only told in the last minute, and then you're in a predicament with what to do!Back to comping!(Still hoping to win a...holiday!)0 -
I have sold 1 prize on ebay and I donated a DVD to a charity raffle. the others I have kept or given to friends and family. I also do not enter competitions aimed at a specific demographic such as students, although I have started entering competitions for baby related prizes as my sister is pregnant so anything I win will go her. Saying that I've not had a win since the Glamour May comp ended.0

I don't enter anything that I don't want, or I think a member of my family would like. Me entering something I don't want, and I win it, is depriving someone else of winning that might like it. Thats my ar&e about theory anyway.

I haven't as yet sold anything I have won but that doesn't mean I wouldn't.On the whole I only enter for things I or my family would like but there are often runner up prizes that you may not want.I rarely enter ticket competitions and only do so when I know I can use the tickets for definate otherwise it's a bit of a waste.I personally think it is up to the person who has won it to do as they please with it after all it is theirs I wouldn't like someone else telling me what to do with things I have won and wouldn't dream of trying to say what other people should do with their wins.I do give things to family, friends and charities as I enjoy giving people things but if I was desperate for money or had bills I needed to pay then I would most likely sell the goods rather than give themaway.
This is just my own opinion and thoughts on it though as it has to be each to their own.:D0 -
I usually restrict myself to entering comps for prizes I want or know a family member will use e.g. father-in-law & golf clubs!, but I do enter most of the game console ones.
My children have a DS each and share a Wii. I doubt they'd be into Xbox or PS3 as much as they're not into those "hardcore" type games you can get on them, so if I won one of these, I would sell it and put the cash aside for their Christmas presents or an extra treat now and again or pay off the odd debt here and there etc.
I guess I am lucky enough to have more or less enough money to live, but I would not criticise anyone trying to earn a bit of extra cash to make ends meet by entering comps.
If I won a top prize in a ongoing comp (like iconicbritain) and had confirmation of a win, I wouldn't enter again though, as I'd like to give others a chance.
Having said that, I had a win with ITV and haven't stopped entering their comps! But then, it's a new comp everytime, so I don't feel guilty or greedy in entering.0 -
i only enter for things i really want now i used to enter for everything but its a bit dissapointing if you win something you cant use or dont want so now i know everytime i get a wem or whatever it will be something i really wanted.
although i do enter for things i think my mum or nan would like i once gave them tickets i had won to see xfactor and they loved it i enjoy giving my wins more than i would selling them0
