Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. I have to say I liked this week's more than last, because they did actually take on board everything they were being told - no matter how much they seemed to resent it. I can't imagine last week's mum taking a tandem to the supermarket as a 5 mile round trip if you paid her!

They seemed to skimp on the water bit though - so to speak :D - mentioned it a couple of times but then concentrated on the transport.

It's inspired me to actually get round to getting a bike, though, after thinking about it for weeks :)

Have you thought of looking on your local free-recycle group to see if someone is willing to give one away?

Not really, apart from the fact that it's bad to spend £4000 a year on petrol!

I loved the thingy they buried 1/2 in the ground for waste food. I've never seen one of those before. We're just using one of those black dustbin thingys for our organic waste. Any idea where you can get those 1/2 buried thingys please?

The programme made me think.... we've got little halogen lightbulbs. OH says you can't get them in the low wattage type. Is that true?

you can get one at https://www.greencone.com and they are £60. But sometimes the local council does a discount deal on them. St Helens council is currently doing them at £44.

Why did you pick one with double suspension Moggins?! Ah well, at least you'll have a super comfy ride (says she with the secondhand boneshaker)...
