Ah...have done it - someone advised me on another thread!
Have just entered my first readings! x0 -
at this moment, we are 1/38 on the carbon club.. but tomorrow i will enter the latest readings.. and not a good week either.. heating has come on in the mornings a few times... big washing weekend, dryer, + extra 2 loads in the dishwasher than normal... (family visits etc)..
im currently looking at the owl.. saying 1.8pence/hour.. 21degrees with back door open.. quite sunny.. we have the tv and everything switched off and having fun playing scrabble..im guessing tomorrow we'll be 38/38 in club
I dont owe nothing, I own everything I have... dont do buy now pay later, dont do credit cards, dont do loans...0 -
Not looking forward to reading the meters tomorrow, Lots of electricity used here over the last week. Due to the constant rain last week and having two long haired dogs the hair dryer ended up being on constantly, with it taking over half and hour on friday evening to dry just one over the dogs after towel drying first. Well we'll see tomorrow, but have a feeling it will be bad.0

Well as expected a relatively good week electric-wise - just 45 units.
However as for the gas :eek::eek: it's more than doubled to 201 KWH. It has really been cold here this week and I had heat on for half an hour most nights. I also had some family staying last night one of whom has diabetes and really feels the cold - so heat was on most of the night. Doesn't bode well for winter though
Anyway no reads for three weeks for me since I'm off to sunnier climesReally looking forward to feeling the sun on my skin, honestly if we've had a week's worth of sunny days since last May that would be about it! So to heck with the cost....

Have a great holiday and try to absorb/store as much of the sunny climes as possible.
We've actually had a dry day today, enough so that it dried the washing! I'm still advertising for a dehumidifier so I can get some of the dampness out the air in our hall and I'm looking for new winter woolies but I need to offset these costs against the costs of turning on a heater. Have tried my best to keep to bare minimums on electricity but definitely cannot do without at least one heater on for fear of worsening dampness. Now that the storage heater has heated up, it should use slightly fewer units. First night on was 6, last night was 5, so it isn't all bad news - but it isn't winter yet! :rolleyes:I reserve the right not to spend.

OK, here we are at another Monday and another set of meter readings. I HAD to switch on a heater. It's not that we can't tolerate the cold, it's the fact that it's so cold and this house is so damp that I'm finding mildew/mould growing on things that could affect any future return of our security deposit on the rent! In my defence, this is EVERYTHING as we have no gas, no oil, no solid fuel and no open fire. Literally, we have no choice.
