I fell to a 'D' against all users with last weeks readings, but just managed to scrape in with another 'C' against similar properties.

Meter reading day for me is tomorrow - and this week is also time to generate my next 4 weekly bill, and see how much further into my credit balance this winter has eaten ;)

Slight improvement for me too. Tho badges are back to C and D. Had a great week for the washing, out every day except Saturday. Was very impressed to see the thermometer in my unheated bedroom rise to 20c today, nothing like a bit of sunshine to warm things up.:j

Mmm, do some people put their reads in very late? my badges for week end 28th have changed to C & C now!

Just had the meter changed this morning from E7 to single rate, will now be seeing a lovely reduction in cost as well as kw :j

Deffo some readings gone in late.....

I'm still on a 'D' and a 'C', but the average useage was 54kWh for all users and 63kWh for all detached g&e properties - these now show as 55kWh and 65kWh respectively

Tori pops head round the door to wave hello :)

Just wanted to say a big thank you to CW18.
I spoke to EDF again about a forced review that you suggested, and they agreed to drop my DD by £20 a month (still a bit over the odds) but with a review in June instead of October...happy days

Glad you managed to get them to reduce your payments :)

And here's to your June review bringing on another

  • Good grief I got a 'D' and an 'E' seems like ages since I've been on a 'D'. 40 / 52

Last week I used 21 kWh of electricity and 124 kWh of gas. Weekly spend was £7.45. I have had two days with no heating and only on low most of the time.

This has been a chilly winter with the heating barely above 11 or 12 C a lot of the time and sometimes less. Nice to see the morning temperature into double figures though.

I got a 'C' for both badges on last weeks readings (and 'B' side of the 'C' for both of them as well), which I'm chuffed with :T

But I'm still 32nd out of 53 in the Carbon Group..... somehow I never seem to do nearly as well in the group rankings as I do with my badges :o

Im back up to a A on both badges (averaged 18 units a day) thanks to the sunshine and DS2 having a ban on his Xbox for a few days (nothing bad, but hopefully he wont leave the dishes in his warzone anymore ;))
Ive kind of got stuck on 18 units i cant seem to get any lower unless i send the kids to my mothers :rotfl:but im determind to drop to 14 units a day over the summer, Does anyone know of a good solar charger that would charge a psp?

C for both badges for me too :) Aother wee drop in consumption this week aswell, steadily going in the right direction.

Glad to see the results of my immersion tank change. We removed the 10.5kw electric shower and old header tank and replaced with a direct unvented tank that gives pressurised hot water. The reasons for doing so were more regarding the quality of shower than 'money saving' and I have been told elsewhere on this forum that it would cost me more to do it this way. But despite the fact more showers are now taken, it's so good!, the consumption is down. I'm very happy, would have happily paid a bit extra for the decent shower experience but appears to be no need :j
