:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Poor SMF, you'll be needing winter woolies soon but be reassured that our heating, if we had a thermostat and heating, would have kicked in some time ago even if it had been set at 15 degrees so feel no shame, blame it on the weather. :D

AFFL - SPILL THE BEANS! :T:beer::j 3 stone weight loss in a year is spectacular, how did you do it and can I do it too? :D

How much have I spent? (£ per week)

Your household's total energy spend over the last 56 weeks is £592.62.
For week ending 27th September, 2009 your household spent £6.56 in total.
Gas meter (cubic metres): £1.27 - Main electricity meter: £5.28
C rating and 18/43 in carbon club

This time last year we spent £5.35 on gas and £6.26 on elec so I am well pleased-the new boiler must really be making a difference!

Just trying to decide which energy provider to use next as have just opted out of moving straight onto Scottish Power Online Energy 6 as currently their standard variable rate is the same as the fixed tarrif I was on that ended on 31 Aug (so technically am now worse off)and am waiting to see whose price is going to drop next before I make my move!

I've lost around three stone compared with last year so perhaps that improves circulation too.

Wow.gif that's fantastic. Well done on that AnimatedBravoSmiley.gif

    I'd be happy to lose 3 Lbs:p

Just input this weeks readings - and I'm totally bemused !!!

Despite it being dark until later in the mornings, and from earlier in the evenings - meaning more use of light - my electricity is down by 2kWh to 63kWh (and it's a month since it was lower than this week).
This week last year was 84kwh electricity, so down by 25%

But even more confusing is my gas....... I've been holding bang on steady for the last 6 weeks, but - despite being convinced the heating has come on a touch two mornings - this week is down by over 25% from 46kWh to just 34kWh
This week last year was 68kWh gas - so I've HALVED it !!!!!!!! (But I know I was using the heating more for DH 12 months ago, which probably explains it)

That's brilliant CW! My electricity will see a jump next week after switching on one of the storage heaters but it's just getting too cold and damp to do without now. Still hoping for a late burst of sunshine and warmth but haven't seen heatwaves in October since leaving Suffolk several years ago.

Do you all make a note of your readings weekly? I have forgotten to make a note of mine for the last few weeks.

I know when I got my bill through for the electricity it told me I was using more electricity than last year, but we have an electric oven now, so we are bound to. I know I am using more because I am now house proud and hoover somewhere in the house on most days, it is amazing how much that blooming thing uses up

I read mine weekly on a Tuesday.

I've forgotten a couple of times - but I've just read on a Wednesday, divided the useage since the previous week by 8 and multiplied by 7..... that's going to be close enough for what I'm using the readings for ;)
