Mornin' meter watchers
Burnin the midnight oil at the moment.
17 kWh for the week and a B and C with 9kg of CO2.
Kinda feels like Autumn at the moment with the mercury reading 15C. Here's hoping for an Indian Summer.0 -
Youch ajmoney!
I had that in Jan / Feb for around 6 weeks.
Agree definately go for the loft insulation though it's apparently where you lose most heat. The house is kind of like a toilet roll with a hole in the top.0 -

Bah! Humbug!
Even with my headcount at 3, both badges for last week are on 'D' !!!! I'm bang on average (17kWh CO2) against all households, and marginally better than average against g&e detached (where average is 18kg CO2)Cheryl0 -
Good afternoon
I am showing exact same results as last week, so E and E
Your household's total energy spend over the last 38 weeks is £693.73.
For week ending 30th August, 2009 your household spent £11.82 in total.
Electricity A Rate: £9.66
Electricity B Rate: £2.16
Electricity C Rate: £0.00
Standing charge: £1.61
That means my weekly average has dipped below the magical £20! I've made it to £19.86I know it's still loads compared to other lifestyles but it's just the price we pay for country living and working from home.
Also had to light the fire once this week to help get clothes dried.
I reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.
Frugal living challenge - living on little in 2025 while frugalling towards retirement.0 -
Just done my weekly meter read....
Electricity is down 16kWh on last week, and now on a par with before elder DS came home on leave - great news as he was here for 4 days of the week
Gas is exactly the same (at 46kWh), but considering I've had my hob on for hours and hours making preserves and chutneys I'm just pleased it hasn't gone up again
Expect to see my gas start climbing from here on in thoughGDs are back to school tomorrow, and the house has been getting a 'touch chilly' the last couple of days - so I think I'm going to have to start letting the heating kick in for them (to take the chill of in a morning, and again as they come home from school as the school is soooooo warm - so coming back to a cool house could be a shock to them)

Well done on that.:T:T:T My OH used to work froom home a lot so we used to have the heating on all day so quite some challenge with the economy seven too I think.0 -
sorry to be dim but could someone tell me how to put different rates into imeasure please?
My first 587kwh are charge at 6.860p and the rest at 3.289p by british gas. at the moment it just say 0.035 on imeasure
thanks

you can't split it like yours are. I put mine in at the lower rate, as the extra on the first useage is instead of a standing chargeCheryl0
