Gained a 'D' for both badges (all site, and all g&e detached properties) last week - not surprised though.
Just entered this weeks reading. Electricity down from 57kWh to 56kWh. Two weeks ago was 55kWh, so looks like this around where I can expect to be during the 'summer' months.
Gas has dropped though. Last two weeks were each 57kWh (preceded by a week on 45kWh, which at an average of 6.4kWh/day was an all time low), but this week is down to just 34kWh (or 4.9kWh/day) :TCheryl0 -

16 kWh for electricity and 1 unit for gas this week. On a B for all households and low rise flats.
5 / 39 on the carbon club.:j0 -
Gosh, fiend, look at the time of your post, how keen are you?:rotfl:
I'm an EEQuite funny, really, as that's what the Americans call blue egg laying hens and that's what I am hoping are soon going to be laying here in Frugaldom - Easter Eggers. :j Yeah, you lot might be great at keeping your electricity consumption down but can you collect a blue egg from your back garden in the mornings? :rotfl:
Anyway, my lovely results, as I said, show me as E all users and E similar households (there are 3 of us this week)
Your household's total energy spend over the last 29 weeks is £592.80 (+ £1.61 per week standing charge).
For week ending 28th June, 2009 your household spent £8.26 in total.
Electricity A Rate: £6.57
Electricity B Rate: £1.69
Electricity C Rate: £0.00
Standing charge: £1.61
That means my annual overall average is now down to £22.05 including the standing charge. I'll need to maintain this level until about November to afford to stay within my 2009 budget. Cooking and hot water are the biggest culprits in this household. If there was no hot water in the mornings, the shower use would treble.
The imeasure figures are a bit annoying being a week behind on the 'badges', I think.
Edited in for anyone interested in the Carbon count. I like to think mine gets neutralised by the number of trees about us, as we live very close to the forest, but we've also planted 9 trees in the garden, so far, so that must count for something
You have been measuring for 29 weeks and began on 14 Dec 2008.
Total household emissions 3,900 kg CO2
For week ending: 28th June, 2009 your household emitted 42 kg CO2
Edited again - sorry, forgot the kw useage, ours was 80kwh of electricity for the weekI reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.

11 kwh of gas, and 24 kwh of electricity. I'm a D compared to all households.
PC and fridge-freezer mostly to blame - although the latter is to be taken back by the manufacturer for refund, so I'm using its 17 year old energy-guzzling predecessor until I find a replacement.0 -
@nyk
I'm trying to reduce computer usage as I spend hours on the thing. I got tied up reading the end of a good book hence the apparent keenness.
Are you three to the household? 26kWh is a good reading I think plus your working from home all day. I think imeasure should have a badge for national average. I suspect your doing a lot better than the badges give you credit for.
Nine trees counts for a lot I think. Blue eggs from the garden sounds really good.0 -
Hi Fiend, there are 3 adults in household, 2 work from home full time. Not sure where 26kwh came from, unless you divided our 80kwh by 3 and mean 26kwh per person? I don't know if that's good, as most people seem to manage on much less. Gone are the days of putting £5 credit in the meter and it lasting all week, that's for sure. I need more than that just to run the fridge & freezer for a full week once I add on the standing charge.
Currently only getting brown & white eggs, hoping to start getting blue eggs this summer as soon as youngsters old enough to layI reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.

I presumed 3 as you say and divided into 80.
I was using 30kWh last summer the only things that I have really changed is cooler showers, switching from a PC to a laptop and eating fewer cooked meals.0 -
Just checked my badges for last week.
It says the average CO2 for both 'all users' and 'all detached g&e households' is 18kg per person..... and my readings for last week gave a household figure of 36kg, which is 18kg each. So I'm bang on average............ and a 'D' for both again :rolleyes2Cheryl0 -
Not sure if this is of interest to anyone, but thought I would post it anyway. I average out the cost per unit electricity used and the figures reflect those from 2 different houses, both with storage heaters and E7 price tariffs. My average ppu incorporates weekly standing charges, but it's this that appears to be increasing regardless of how much I cut down on consumption.
