Being a bit dim here - I understand there is a new tariff feature. I can work out my electricity per unit (I assume this is just the kilowatt price), however, how do I work out the gas tariff? I am on the N-Power standard tariff for both. Thanks in advance.0

Hi Welcome to the thread Make do and mend,
If I remember correctly there is an option for imperial / metric in the user details section. After that you only need to enter the units. The kWh are calculated automatically.0 -
Thanks for that will give it a go.0

Just had a look and I have worked out electricity to be roughly 14p a unit and 3p a unit for gas - does that sound right?0
-
My fuel (including vat) is 8.836p/kWh for electricity and 2.91p/kWh for gas - but I 'froze' my prices last June/July time.Cheryl0

Just had a new condesning bolier fitted so hopefully I will see a decrease soon in both carbon footprint and costs and not just because the summer is coming!
I got a C rating for last week.
Results from imeasure are:
Your household's total energy spend over the last 32 weeks is £485.69.
For week ending 12th April, 2009 your household spent £12.92 in total.
Gas meter (cubic metres): £6.22 - Main electricity meter: £6.700 -
Given i-measure responded to my email with the information that the carbon ratings and club ranking change on a Monday (using the previous weeks readings), I've just been back to see where I'm at based on last Tuesdays figures.
I was suprised to see a C rating on both badges (huge difference between the averages for the two sets of data), so was trying to work out how close to either end of the C's we are
Which leads to the question......
Can anyone figure out their badge calculations?
The site says
[FONT="]A+ = > 80% below the average
A = > 60% below the average
B = > 40% below the average
C = > 20% below the average
D = THE AVERAGE
E = up to 100% above the average
F = up to 300% above the average
G = over 300% above the average
So if the average were 100 (I know that's high, but easier on the maths) I'd make that
A+ <= 20
A 20-40
B 40-60
C 60-80
D = 100
E 100-200
F 200-400
G > 400
But I see a HUGE hole in these calculations between the C and D ratings (ie. where do you fall with a figure of 90?)
Using the site average of 34kg/person for last week, I appear to fall into that 'hole' - but have a C rating. (I make a C 20.4 thru 27.2kg, but have a personal figure of 28kg). But using the same calculatons against the similar houses average of 44kg/person I'd expect to be in the C which is where I am

D should be 80 to 100 I think.0

That was my inital assumption - but would put me into a D for the first of the two carbon badges, while i-measure have given me a 'C'
Looks like they still have some 'features' :rolleyes2:
Guess the easiest thing is to ask them directlyCheryl0 -
Weekly spend £2.61 for 19 kWh. I'm on an A for all households and small-rise flats. 5 / 52. I suspect this will change dramatically once everyone has submitted their results. 10 kg of CO2.
You have been measuring for 37 weeks. Total household emissions 1,092 kg CO2
For week ending: 12th April, 2009 your household emitted 10 kg CO20
