    Totally confused now....

After all the assurances that by delaying badges/rankings until the following Monday they wouldn't change mine have

This morning I was a C for both badges, but now I'm on D for 'all users'. And my 34/47 rating from just 3 hours ago is now 36/49 !!!

  • Same as last week 20 kWh electricity, no gas, 10kg of carbon.

7 / 50 on the carbon club so slipped one place from last week.

Got an 'A' for all users and a 'B' for low rise flats.

You have been measuring for 38 weeks.

Total household emissions 1,103 kg CO2
For week ending: 19th April, 2009 your household emitted 10 kg CO2

Your household's total energy spend over the last 38 weeks is £244.09.

For week ending 19th April, 2009 your household spent £2.74 in total.

    Gas meter (cubic metres): £0.00
    Main electricity meter: £2.74

Just heard back re: the ranking issue -- apparently someone has a gas meter that's running in reverse :rotfl: They're looking into it, and have said

So I assume for that they're doing something with the ranking calculations, rather than looking at putting some input verification in place for when we enter our data
As a computer programmer myself, the latter would seem to me the more obvious thing to do !!

Agree with input verification. It could allow a negative reading if renewables were installed. Probably best if such households had an alternative ranking system though as we'd all be on a 'G' regardless of efforts:eek:.

I'm not aware of any domestic biogas renewables except maybe the odd farmer.

Just entered my readimgs for this week, so will have to wait until Monday now for my new 'badges' etc.

Gas has gone back up by 22kWh to exactly where it was 2 weeks ago! :( Must be the one chilly day we had when I banged the heating back on, as I can't recall using the water booster at all  It really did feel yuck, and I'm still suffering with the remnants of a cold that came on 3 weeks ago

However my electricity is down - only by 4kWh, but I'm really pleased with this as I expected it to be up !! I've done several extra wash loads this week (and a couple of drier loads as this was the only way to get elder DS's washing dry after he got home from a week away and before he returned to his Army barracks). Plus I got a new lawn mower at the weekend which is 1400w against the 900w of the old one (which was then Freecycled as it worked but was a design that kicked off my back problems) - and I did all 4 patches of lawn on Sunday afternoon, whereas elder DS had only done 2 of them with the old mower a week earlier. I also had a strimmer out which he didn't........

Anyway, not expecting elder DS home again until the end of July / early August - so that should help my figures as he seems to generate more washing himself than younger DS and I do between us :rolleyes2

Well done Lingojingo and Gazza :)

cw, I've had to light the fire today as the mini-heatwave has gone and we're back to cold and wet outside. I have turned the two remaining heaters lower, still, and yesterday managed to come in at just under £2 over a period of 24 hours, so I am very happy at that, especially as it was roast chicken dinner we had last night. Mind you, even if I do manage to keep within £15 per week during summer months, I'm still not going to manage on £1200 per year for electricity. I'm fighting a losing battle here.
I reserve the right not to spend.

Well done to you too! Doesn't it feel great?

My monthly dd will now be lower than it was at the beginning of 2008, before they put it up for the huge price rises (even though mine are capped till this November!). This is the 2nd time they've lowered it, but the first repayment.

I'm now determined to try and get my usage down even more, now I've done a full year of readings.
