I reached a B rating two weeks ago and am still there but following on from cw18`s post I also did the actual sums. The imeasure payment estimate since 3 aug 2008 is £353 and I actually paid £480. They need to up their figures because many people use imeasure to help them keep track of forthcoming bills

Hi guys, I have now switched off my storage heaters, so that should cut my use by quite a bit. However, I still need to live, work full time, cook and wash from home, so I still won't be able to reduce my power consumption to the miniscule amounts some of you guys manage. :) Fingers crossed for April and the better weather.

Re: the non-active members in the carbon club, perhaps it's just the novelty wearing off? I almost gave up when I moved house and the i-measure system wouldn't let me update my details to reflect my new meter, so I had to re-register, start all over again and then remove original username in favour of a new one.

I thought I would join Nyk as in all electric flat. have been with imeasure 30 weeks, first posting on here new results state "£10,484.50 used in 30 weeks" How much!!!!

Yep! That sounds like you've found the change, too. Originally, the price per unit was shown in pence but they have gone and changed that, so you n ow need to log in and adjust the price per unit for your electricity. If it's 12p per kwh then you need to change it to 0.12 so it adjusts to meet the site criteria, I think.

I wouldn't use the imeasure site to estimate future bills as it's more to do with power consumption & carbon emissions than with personal finances, however, has everyone checked that they have their correct costs per unit in their settings? This is something new that's been added to imeasure and prices are changing all the time with the utilities companies.

I'm confused (doesnt take much) cant see my rating, but I'm down on useage last week, but know with half term it'll be back up again this week.
My costings do look about right though.
Going to have another look on the site as I'm lost with it.

OK - so I didn't realise we could put in our own fuel costs now !!

Just been to do so, but there's no way I can get accurate output from i-measure..... I'm on a "no standing charge" tariff, which means the first so many units for each are a higher rate. So do I put in the higher figures and always faint when I see what i-measure tells me I've spent, or do I put the lower figures and faint when I get my bills

(Actually not that bad, as I can use my spreadsheet -- but the money part of i-measure is totally meaningless to me now, whereas it used to balance out pretty well for me !)

Same here, but however they used to do it before the change was incredibly accurate for the 2 bills I've had since joining imeasure. Next bill due in a fortnight, so will see if they're still as close. (hope so as it will mean I'll be a lot in credit and can ask for a refund!)

Mine doesn't say anything daft this week, just slightly down, which is right as we've had the heating on much less.

Just inputted my details....I do like this new format.
My gas and electric are on primary and secondary rates, so I've used a tarriff a bit less than the primary rate, thiss hould hopefully allow for the standing charge and the VAT.

This guesstimate appears to be fairly close as I have inputted my meter reads to Scottish Power for the same period and it's quite close on the figures.

Just done my meter reads - a few hours later than normal, but my readings are down :T

Electricity is 60kWh, which was last this low 5 weeks ago. Gas is 127kWh - and it's 23 weeks since it was lower than this (though it was a mere 57kWh then, so still a long way to down yet!)

    2009-04-07-graph.jpg

It's also time for my to submit readings to my energy provider (I now do this every 4 weeks)..... Elec 258kWh this time against 240kWh last time :( But Gas is around the 670kWh (won't know exactly until I get their latest calorific values on the bill) against 983kWh on the last :D

Not happy with the carbon badges though. The figures at the top of the results page are for week ending 5th April (the readings I've just entered), but the data on the badges says it's for week ending 29th March - which means it's a week behind  I've just emailed them to ask why it's doing this - and when I can expect to see the correct badge for last week !!!

Showing as 39/56 for our Carbon Club - but it nows begs the question which weeks data THIS is using ?!?!?!?

ETA: The club rating matches my spot on the bar chart on the club page - and this is based on 35kg CO2 per person, which is the figure for week ending 29th March and NOT the readings I've just entered for week ending 5th April - so other than the personal useage graph the results are pretty meaningless

I've decreased my consumption over the last four weeks but my carbon rating has gone up. That leaves me a little confused.

    I'm on 24kg and on a C, down from a B, and on 20 / 56.

I spent £2.74 on electricity last week based on Ebico prices as I am technically with them now. I spent nothing on gas. CO2 for the week is 10kg.

    Finally Bye, Bye SP.

Your household's total energy spend over the last 17 weeks is £42,485.64.
For week ending 5th April, 2009 your household spent £1,755.94 in total.
    Electricity A Rate: £1,069.04
    Electricity B Rate: £256.96
    Electricity C Rate: £429.94

    Maybe those storage heater's weren't so bad.:eek::eek::eek:
