You have a REALLY good tariff! I wish I could get mine for 7p ish per unit, I'm 12.88p day times.

I do have a good tariff - I fixed in 2005 until April 2010. That's why I'm concerned about our use of gas and electricity because next year we are in for a big shock:eek:
  • Just received a bill for gas and electricity £115 for 78 days sounds ok ish. About £10 a week. It's actually slightly higher than it should be because the central heating was off for 5 weeks so I think it has added about £10 to my bill.

Last three whole bills since I started meter watching are a total of £347 for 292 days. Sounds ok.:D That means I've got an allowance of £53 till June the 8th to stay below the £400 mark.

    Gutted :(

Just entered this weeks readings, and despite having had a week with several days of really nice weather (so a few days with no additional heating) the gas useage is exactly the same as the previous week

But despite a lot less turning on of lights, my electricity has gone UP from 64kWh to 71kWh - which is the highest I've had since my elder DS left at the end of his Christmas leave in the middle of January  He is home on leave again, but is spending most of his time (including nights) at a friends house -- have really only had an extra couple of days laptop use and about 8 hours of XBox, but to find they've negated any savings AND pushed us up by over 10% is devastating :( I have done an extra couple of washloads (due to him being home - but I have done extra the last couple of weeks, so this shouldn't really have had an impact), but a couple of loads have been dried outside instead of being tumbled as I got to it before he did once the washer finished (which actually means I'd have expected a drop compared to previous extras!)

    I'm a 'C' rating yet again - 15th weeks in a row - and according to the Carbon Club graph I reckon we're 30/47

just popping by to say that I just saw The Age of Stupid, a docu-film about climate change fronted by Pete Postlethwaite. Very good. Can totally recommend it. See here for links on where to go and see it - http://www.ageofstupid.net/ukrelease

Anyway the recommendation is that we need to move to emitting no more than 1 ton of carbon each per year (1,000 kg) - went in to check my total emissions on imeasure and realised this is one feature that has disappeared in the revamp :( although I suspect I wouldn't have liked what i saw anyway.

Oh and flying was heavily implicated as well - feeling very guilty tonight

I can't find the i-measure site, it's just throwing up an error page this morning. So anyway, last week, my meter swallowed £23.65 and if I can keep to around the same average, this will be the first month since moving here that we've come in at under £100 for the month. I'm at £96.10 to date, so can't use more than £3.90 worth of electricity between today and tomorrow :D

    This week I used:

    Gas: 4 cubic metres
    Electricity: 19 kwh

    A carbon rating - 16kg total emitted.

Hope the imeasure upgrade is completed soon - it's pretty limited at the moment.
  • Slightly higher this week 6 units of gas 21 of electricity. CO2 - 22kg and surprisingly on a 'B' at the moment. Still a lot less than it has been. :j

    :rotfl:

I tried to get into the site earlier, so thought I check on here to see if anyone else was having problems.

Can someone please post a link to the i-measure site as I still can't find it. All I'm getting is the university site page. Thank you :)

Sorry, cancel that, found it at http://www.imeasure.org.uk/meters.php and I'm showing up as an 'E' rating :(
