Raising the national averages fine style :rotfl:

    Carbon rate E
    [STRIKE]46/49 in the carbon club[/STRIKE] now 43/51

    Last week you spent:
    • £0.00 on gas
    • £45.24 on electricity
Total you have spent on energy since starting imeasure (9 weeks ago):
    • £0.00 on gas
    • £413.28 on electricity
I'll check back later to see how it all goes once a few others have logged their figures - I could be bottom of the carbon club chart this week. :rotfl:
I reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.

Frugal living challenge - living on little in 2025 while frugalling towards retirement.

'C' is nice to be on it means you're using between 60 and 80% compared to everyone else on average.

    Well done way to go.:T

  • Finally I made a C :j :j

Alas it was when both myself and DH were in London  but still as it's the only one I'm likely to get I'm going to celebrate anyway. I'm also 19/50 in the club.

Snow on the ground here in Belfast and the house is really cold - I did leave the heating on timer when I was away just to prevent frost damage but the thermostat was low. Will have to give it a bit of a blast tomorrow night (out tonight!) just to heat it up again. Especially since I just spent a week in overheated hotel rooms...

Glad to hear others are doing well although it's shocking about your boiler afiendforlife - hope you're managing to keep warm ok.

Thank you!! I'm keeping warm as I have a small fan heater that I bought a while back seemed a waste at the time. It's costing me more but providing more local heat. Bizzarly the carbon emmissions are lower as I was stuck on an E or D before christmas. I think I am more aware of what I am consuming with it right next to me. Shame about the price I've gone up from £10 a week to £15.

Had to move into the bedroom the other day as it dropped to 4C and I was worried about burst pipes.

Well done on getting a C by the way.:T:T:T

Both my gas and electricity up in the last week - electricity back to where it was a fortnight ago, and likely to go through the roof again from Friday of this week until the end of the following week (elder DS is apparently coming home on another weeks leave, so that's laptop, XBox and mobile charger plugged in 24/7 for a week :rolleyes2 )

On the plus side, I'm still a 'C' rating (showing as 40/52 in the club)
