    Still no central heating.
    That's awful

Has your landlord done anything to get someone to come and look at it yet?
    Cheryl
  • I agree, surely your landlord should have got it sorted urgently. I would seriously consider witholding your rent until he does. Hope you're managing to keep warm somehow.
We're still on a C rating and so far 14/50 this week. Still seem to be using a lot of gas, but it's less than last week and a lot down on last year - goodness knows how we managed to use so much back then!

    Last week you spent:
    • £23.03 on gas
    • £7.20 on electricity
Total you have spent on energy since starting imeasure (30 weeks ago):
    • £297.38 on gas
    • £216.72 on electricity
  • Hi everyone

    Well I'm back to a D again :(

Actually weirdly my electric use has shot up this week which I can't seem to account for. Normally it's in and around 60-70 kwh but this week was 105. The highest it's ever been before is 82. i was away until lunchtime Monday and DH was away until Friday PM so the elec use should have been on the low side of normal. The only thing I can think of is that I had the oven on a bit more but it doesn't feel like enough to account for the extra 40kwh....will have to keep a tighter eye on it this week!

Of course the other possiblity is that I read the meter wrong last week...which cannot be discounted.

Hope you're all doing okay, AFFL can't believe you're still struggling, I def think you should be threatening to withhold rent by now!

Meters were read early afternoon, but I've only just got round to adding them to i-measure

Both gas and electricity are down on last week, and gas is a shade down on the week before as well.

Still a C rating, and showing as 31/51 in the group

    Hi everyone
hope its ok for me to join in. I've been using Imeasure since I stumbled across this thread 4 weeks ago.
There are 5 of us in an end terrace, 3 beds, gas heating electric cooker. Children are 5 and under and I'm a sahm.
I'm quite pleased with our overall rating, I think our gas usage is pretty good (now Hubby has got used to putting a jumper on rather than cranking the heating up. I think we need to work on the electric tho. H is anti the lightsaving bulbs (still working on this we have them in hall, landing, kitchen & lamp in living room that is used most. But we have dimmers in the girls rooms and our room and the living room and dining area uses candle bulbs with screws (anyone seen any ?)
I only use the oven a couple of times a week, mostly cook with slow cooker and hob or microwave.
Think my laptop is partly to blame (its on from waking to bed :embarasse)
Am just starting to get in habbit of switiching off the freeview box and we don't put things on stand by.
Anyway thats me. Maybe you could help. Is there some where that says best use of energy eg if I need boiling water for pasta I always boil the kettle (only what I need) then put in a pan. But is it best this way or boil from cold on the hob?
And finally if I've not sent you into a coma
    my results

    Last week you spent:
    • £14.28 on gas
    • £10.68 on electricity
Total you have spent on energy since starting imeasure (4 weeks ago):
    • £59.26 on gas
    • £40.44 on electricity

    Welcome aboard :)

Congrats on the 'B' rating :T
Looks like it'll be a while before I get that status back (last seen on 11th Nov ;) )

And your electricity looks pretty good on a 'per person' basis..... just wait until the children are old enough for you to have 3 gaming machines/laptops/music system running all the time :rolleyes2
