    Quick Hi to everyone

Welcome newbies - jump right in - join in the insanity.

Pen-Pen - glad your helmet saved the day - did you dint the pavement? ((hugs))
Pen-Pin - hope the new sickness tablets kick in soon ((hugs))
Smokybabe - another here who doesn't know how you do it, I know you will say you have no option, but missing DH like we all know you do, and coping with the grief of the LO's too ((((very gentle hugs to all of you))))

:grouphug:Everyone else who'd like one :grouphug:

Snowy - hoping the right job comes along soon. DS is job hunting, he has had his first 12 months from uni at one place and whilst OK, not exactly where he wants to head, wrong location. GF now finished Uni and moving back to her home just outside London, so is going to be job hunting in London, has an initial interview for a post in the West End early next week, I know nothing about the area so cannot help direct him on where to look for accommodation. Hoping he can say with GF & family for a few weeks when he gets a job there to help him have time in the area to look around. Kids - as you say Mioliere - the only time we stop whittling about them, is when they have to start whittling about us.

Off to try a new Spanish Bar tonight - Beth we are in the wrong direction 3/4 hour south of Alicante - shame.

    Hi There

New pc showed up at work yesterday and they took all day to get me onto the network etc so couldn't really sneak a peek. Things have gone well wrong today in that the print drivers obviously are not right!

Penpen - obviously your pride took a bit of a bump yesterday - were you on the bike? Hope you are OK.

Smoky - gather you are having your ups and downs. Only to be expected sweatheart. You are doing really well. Love to you and the kids.

Penpin - love and hugs as always.

Aussie - glad to hear that things seem to be OK with your sister. Bet you can't wait to see her Friday. DH very excited about Roos with babies in pouch - is this normal behaviour? At least he hasn't been eaten by crocs (much to disappointment of oldest DGS!)

jay - welcome. We can be a very friendly lot but us old hussies can get a bit out of hand!

Kyle - well done with the walking. I think like Twink I would have beeped (whilst eating haggis supper in lap) as I passed you on the way home! Honestly, take care and you are doing great!

There is a regular early morning poster whose name begins with an M who has just started the happy hay fever pills - she is back to her very [strike]long[/strike] informative posts. Obviously feeling better!

neave - don't let this go on too long. See the doc!

Love and hugs to everyone else and great to hear your news.

(I love the expression from smokybabes of gentle hugs, I'm going to adopt that one)

Hi, it is a lovely expression but not one of mine I'm afraid, another poster here
uses it and it just sounds lovely and personal and I am adopting it too.

I've just spent the best part of an hour trying to find my name tag and fob watch for work grrrrrrr!!! That's what I get for keeping them somewhere too safe.

    Hey smoky

Gentle hugs the way to go! Hope you find the watch and name tag! I have too many safe places and it takes me ages to go around checking.

    Smoky.

It's amazing how many 'safe' places we have to put stuff.....but when I find something, usually weeks after it was needed, it seems such an obvious place to put stuff.

It must have been hard visiting the cemetery, but you and the children went and that is the most important thing, whilst he is no longer with you in person, he has not and never will be forgotten.
Gentle hugs ((())) to you and the Smokeletts.

Hi all - it's been such a hectic day that I have only just found five minutes to come on here. I was going to moan and moan about all the interruptions and inconveniences I've had today but then I read SMOKY's post and asked myself what the h**l have I got to moan about? SMOKY - give your LOs gentle (((hugs))) from me and a special kiss to the eldest - it breaks my heart thinking of them all. We were young children when we lost our Dad and the pain and bewilderment is unbelievable. A loving but grieving mother brought us through it and you will do the same. You are incredibly strong and brave and I hope you are taking good care of yourself as well. I'm so glad you feel good about going back to work tomorrow; it was a good idea calling in there beforehand. I wish you well on your first day back.

I'm afraid I have not read much of the rest of the thread but I'm sending lots of gentle (((hugs))) to all in need. I've missed you all today!

Our new front door is in place but the glazier got the glass sizes wrong - despite DH taking the measurements in to him and leaving them there - so he's having to hunt around for a piece of MDF to put there until tomorrow. At the moment we have no letterbox and the doorbell rang just before 7pm; it was the postman (the latest delivery we've ever had! Perhaps he was getting a head start on tomorrow's round?) He handed the post to me through the opening where the glass should be. We have thought about not bothering with a letterbox - then the postie can't deliver the bills!

Anyway, I was hoping tomorrow would be calmer than today but it won't because the porch is still a 'work in progress'; I have been promised less mess, though!

Anyway, I'm going to make a cuppa then have an early bath so will catch up with you all later.

    Hi all :hello:

smokey - (((hugs))) to you and your family. I hope that tomorrow goes well. Thinking of you x

:hello: and welcome to the new posters :hello:

I'm exhausted again! I accused the Deputy Head of keeping me awake today in a meeting. :D She took it in good humour, luckily........ and then finished the meeting 5 mins later! Needless to say, I've got a stack of marking to do.

Supper tonight has been a yellow sticker quiche (50p :j :j) from Mr T, with a side portion of salad. DH was most impressed with the loving care and attention was taken in preparing it. I also padded out last night's spag bol so much that I've got an extra 3 meals out of it for DH and I. Not bad, I thought.

No spend day today, and I'm hoping to keep it that way for the rest of the week. It's amazing the number of people that are driving more carefully to and from work now. Either that, or it's not me whizzing down the fast lane any more. I need to make sandwiches for tomorrow, but I have to summon the energy to walk back into the kitchen again....

    Have a good evening everyone.

    Hello Newbies

Had a good day today, Tai Chi was very enjoyable and did all my ironing this afternoon so rewarding myself with a nice sit down, surfing on here and watching Coldplay on the telly.
