Morning all
Off to work shortly but just thought I'd pop in to say Hi!
Last day at work then 4 days off :j It's my birthday tomorrow and we're having a party on Friday night so need to clean the house big time! Got OH on it today as my Mam's coming round this evening! Ended up going to tesco last night to get a cake for the buffet at work after the one I baked died upon departure from the oven. Thought whilst I was there I might as well get most of the party stuff as my wages had been paid into the bank at 10pm last night, so that saves me doing it tonight! Still need to pick up cheap booze from Asda and Iceland but they are closer to my house.
Anyhoo, best be off! Have a good day everyone :TSmall business owner 🧵 Ex MSE comper 🏆 Student loan repayer 💴 Romanian dog rescuer 🐕 Hopefully a cost of living survivor 🤞🏻0 -
Good morning everyone! Thank you all so much for your good wishes - it means loads to me :A I had no appetite for my lunch yesterday and clearing out my bag I've found the accident's main casualty - my banana :rotfl: It true MSE OS fashion, I've chopped out the worst and the rest has gone into the Young Penguins' breakfast smoothie
The other casualty is a badly bruised ego
Not only was I seen by all the youngsters on the school bus (so my children knew I'd had an accident before I told them  ) but several people phoned last night as they'd heard about it

Need to pop out this morning to buy bamboo canes, netting and garden string to protect my peas I put in yesterday. Also want to go to the allotment for an hour and weed my onions. Going out tonight for a dear friends birthday, need to find a pressie, might look in the sale at Debenhams.
We are going to a Turkish resturant where you take your own drinks, so a cheap night
.
Need to study later and I have the doctor at 2.30. Hopefully he'll sign me off for another couple of weeks, as I've only just started sleeping properly and not panicking.
Have a good day all.

Morning all, It's raining here in S/set so wont have to water the garden tonight. I have a pile of ironing to do, stuff for our trip to DB in Spain. Have baked some bread rolls to take with us as the food in the airport is too expensive, will do cheese and ham salad just before we leave tomorrow at 5am. I've made some choc fudge cookies for DB as they are his favorite, I cooked extra as DH always has to test first, after 4 he has deceided that the're yummy.
Will cook DD2 and SiL to be, sos mash and veg which I will take around for them when I take their 2 labs for a walk. Plan to have avacardo and prawns for a starter and some chicken casserole for dinner, chick in the slow cooker now.
Well, must get on as the ironing fairy has not turned up, again.
PenPen, hope you'r not to bruised.
HUGS to Smokey, Penpin, Candygirl, Mrs.Mix, and anyone else in need.0 -
Morning all!
Raining in my bit of Somerset too, but then since I'm only across the Levels from Betheebee I guess that's not so surprising! Still it saves watering the garden.
Need to have a quick whizz round, already done WM and BM. Was due to have lunch with a friend, but she's developed all day sickness and she's only just found out she's pregnant, so going to try again on Friday, that's if she can stay awake, another problems she's having at the mo, poor thing!
Just heard from another friend who is going to pop round for lunch instead, think it was when I told him I was making pizza and baking this morning, lol! Doesn't seem to matter how much everyone laughs at me making stuff from scratch, they all still want to eat it!
Don't think I've got much else planned really, need a new ironing board before I can start on the huge pile of clothes, had it just over a year, the board not the pile, well actually ... Anyway it's rusted and fallen apart, and it was expensive, last one was cheapest available and I had it almost 20 years
Right best nip into the shower get some jobs done, and then have a quick nap - I did work last night and I'm working again tonight, pah! Hope everyone has a lovely day.

Morning all :hello:
Haven't posted for a few days - been busy
redruby, sorry I haven't sent you any goodies yet - again, been busy
I haven't forgotten
On Monday I finally found a venue for my birthday party :j so have paid a deposit and am having a barbecue.
I ventured a few miles outside London yesterday evening to go to a touring opera performance at the theatre in Woking, which was quite good (and featured an attractive male singer in his underpants, which always helps
). Met up for coffee with an old friend (who lives nearby) before the show. We used to meet up often for a couple of beers when he had a job in London, but since he left that job we have barely seen each other. He's a great mate so it was lovely to see him.
Boss is having a day's unscheduled leave today as his aunt died yesterday and he has to contact members of his extended family. I've got to deputise for him at a meeting with some quite senior people  but it should be OK as it's discussing data which I provided in the first place
Got a dental appointment later _pale_ but it's only for a scale and polish :j - dentist confirmed nothing else needed doing when he fixed my filling a couple of weeks ago. It's already paid for, and it might have been a no spend day today if it weren't for the fact that it costs me £3 for travel to get there
Got to finish off a review this evening.
((((hugs)))) to those in need of them

Took another loaf out of the bread machine before 7a.m., pottered around a bit and have a huge slow cooker of lentil soup on the go as it looks as if it is going to rain today.
Solar lights I ordered for £19.99 instead of £80 arrived and DH answered the door.
He is not very pleased that I bought stuff as we are trying to sell the house and keep things clear of clutter!
Waiting for DD to come downstairs and then see if she fancies going out with me later.
Still need to go and get fresh milk as DDs turn their nose up at the long life stuff!
Hugs to Candygirl, Bethheebee, Pennypincher, Penelope Penguin,Poppy, Mrsmix and smokey."This site is addictive!"
