They think that of me ... tiny little female, all quiet and delicate. As long as I can go back a few times, it doesn't really bother me. I love the look on the owners faces when I go in to these places though, they know they aren't going to make a profit that night.
Boy can I pack it away though. Usually got the biggest plate - AND I finish it. It's a thing of pride.0 -
Unfortunately, the report says "not fatty food"scrummy_mummy wrote: »According to Breakfast on BBC 1 this morning, if you get a great belly full of fatty nosh down your gizzard first thing, you loose weight quicker than someone who skips brekky (probably because it'll make you vom come lunch time) so...I suggest we all get along to our nearest Hungry Horse where you can eat as much fatty fried crap for £1 at 09.00 and we'll all be sylph like come November!
Off to buy a new mattress now and !!!!! about people who don't do anything wrong for no reason.
I didn't know that about £1 at Hungry Horse... I'll have to investigate that one.0 -
I do think you might be right, I could well be OCD. I even exagerrated when I said I need sectioning! I do keep it to myself but I really hate it. I loved all you could eat in the USA where you go up as many times as you wish and get a new clean plate every time all cleared away by an efficient server .......bliss!
There was a time in my life when I could have banned gravy altogether. Unfortunately I have two children who have inherited their fathers gravy DNA and - like all good therapy - being forcedto face the issue does help regain perspective a bit.0 -
I can't eat if I can see a carcass on the table, e.g. chicken/turkey.
I can't eat if anybody near/with me is eating off the bone. Where they put the food in their mouth, eat the meat off it, then pull the bone/remains out of their mouth and put the bone bits on the side of their plate. I have to look entirely in a different direction, with a menu/anything blocking my view to their pile of bones.0 -

I hope they don't think that of me, I'm an ex prop forward. :rotfl:0 -

I don't mind carcasses on the table but eating off the bone has to be cleanly done - not with gravy on it and also, as you say, not in the way you describe - nor in a meadery style dirty hands type fashion!0 -

Carcasses I can deal with (ie roasts) but I am just the same about bones. Its not squeamishness about the bones exactly (I make stock with bones) but can't stand it, nt do it myself. DH says ribs are no fun anymore. I can't eat rivs and DH has occasionally scraped the meat of them for me but I can't see what all the fuss is about them.0
