Does anyone have one of these as oppsed to the JML one? Would you recommend it?Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.0

I got one from "EasyLife" (I think they supply Radio Times), mostly because I live alone and wouldn't use the big oven just for one. I'm still experimenting, though have roasted a pork joint fairly successfully. However, one downside I have found is that of smell (though someone on here was praising it for the fact that there is no cooking smell!!) - one of the first thing I did in it were oven chips - they tasted fine, but the smell lingered around for days. Now I use it on top of my cooker and put the extractor fan on, so I just hope that doing this isn't cancelling out the electricity I'm saving!0

I bought the Elitech as recommended by Arrogantcat from Bid up TV. It cost £25 including P&P. It really is very fast but unfortunately I have not quite got the hang of it yet as I have managed to burn about half the food I cooked in it so far. I have not tried anything adventurous - just cooked things according to the instructions on the packet. The problem is that it cooks much faster than the oven in my cooker. Is there any rule of thumb for converting the instructions for cooking in a normal oven to cooking in a halogen oven? For example I cooked some oven chips following the instructions on the packet for 30 minutes at 200 degrees but they came out very overdone and very dry.0

Bought a JML one today from Asda. Looking for a cheap cook book now and will try and get used to it. Bought this mainly to save on electricity as my fan oven costs too much to run. Just received a free monitor from Daily Mail and tried both fan oven and top oven and both use a lot of power so hopefully I will see savings. It is a bit big but will get used to that.

sorry for reviving an old post, but has anyone ordered from here, as I would like the Halogen oven but have never used the site before. Many Thanks.
