Pepper Plant help needed - MERGED
Hi all,
I have grown some pepper plants from seed and they whilst they did really well at the beginning, they've now stopped growing. They're only about 3-4 inches high, and haven't got any bigger for weeks it seems. I give them the a miracle grow feed every week, do they need anything else. I was wondering about the high potash feed, but I thought that was for when they flower?
Cheers,
Brassic (Newbie veg grower)

Where are you growing them? Mine are in a cold frame in a sunny spot in an attempt to keep them nice and warm, and they have flowers on them.
Perhaps yours are too cold, too wet or too dry?0 -
Mine are in a greenhouse and are growing slowly, much much slower than the tomatoes. They are now roungly 8 inches tall and have just recently got their first flower buds.
They do seem to grow very slowly, even in a warm sunny spot. All I seem to hear is blah blah blah!0 -
Brassic, mine are at the same stage as yours - I recently repotted them and popped them in the greenhouse, but there are still only about 5" tall max. How big are they supposed to get?Only when the last tree has died and the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught will we realise that we cannot eat money.0

They are in a nice sunny spot in pots along a wall, apart from one which is sharing a grow bag in my greenhouse cupboard, also sunny.
Not really sure how much they are supposed to grow. My red hot chilli pepper plant has got flowers and is about a foot tall. But I like eating bell peppers better :rolleyes:Debts @ lightbulb moment (13/06/2006) - £59,842.23  All commercial debts now clear!!! :T Debts April - £20,000 to family (incl extra £10k borrowed for house deposit). a few years back I had two peper plants from seed, they grew to around 1 metre high and I had them in my utility area and they grew a few small peppers.
Since then I have tried (albeit I have moved house) and my little plants grow no more than 1 foot tall and no fruits
I 4 plants now that are around 6 inches high they are in the bathroom and have had plastic bags on them to keep them warm, since removing them they are growing around 1cm a day
no feeding at the moment, but I plan to do that this weekend0 -
Go down to wilkinsons they might still have their peeper feed reduced and feed them this at every watering.
I have several pepper plants, one of the plants was treated like a baby and is about 3 foot tall and has been constantly fed pepper food and on a heat matt and watered with tepid water.
The others are now around 6 to 10 inches tall and even though being fed Phostrogen were not supplied any heat.0 -
My pepper plants are now between 8-10 inches tall and they have loads of flowers on them, they stated off slowly but recently they have shot up. You can use tomato feeder on them, that might help.

Hi all, my pepper plants have been stunted because something ate the leaves when I first planted them out. They have been outside for 6 weeks now and are only about 5 " tall - should I get rid of them or am I being impatient??? They seem quite green and healthy though with some good leaves on them...
Does anyone have any advice please???:rotfl: :rotfl:

Leave them be. They aren't going to grow if you dig them up and get rid.0
