Hi thepinkladez
The security guidelines exist for everyone, regardless if you are first class BA customer or a flying on RyanAir. As a parent you need to ensure that your child complies with the security requirements, which involves taking off coats etc. If I was in the queue with you and saw you trying to prevent a security guard from checking a passenger (regardless of age!) I would not want you on my flight! You say the queues were long etc, its in everyones interest to comply!
If a seat together was so important for you, you need to book with a carrier that will let you book this.
No offence, but you can't pin all that on Ryanair.
I assume you had no problem with the cost of the flight?

LMAO :rotfl:0 -
It doesn't surprise me. Ynot2005 - have you tried travelling with a toddler? I went on quite a few airlines and they treat you like a leper most of the time, no matter how considerate you try to be. They weren't budget airlines either. I've resolved never to travel on an airline for several years and will only go if absolutely necessary (like someone's dying). Travelling is no fun anymore and I could use my money for something worthwhile.0

Right here is my story;)
East Midlands two hours early so okay. Parking in carpark 7. Transfer to the airport barrier breaks down. So arrive approx 1:30 hours early. Wait in queue to check in takes 40 mins 'cos of the weighing of luggage. Lots of Italians mad that they are being told that they are 16:kg over and need to pay extra.
Queue for sec takes forever, poor sons laptop gets the once over (always does but otherwise ok takes 30mins. As we walk thru boarding is called go to gate and wait around.
(Our niece is 3 and we took a pushchair nothing said and we didn't pay extra, lucky i suppose)
Flight cramped and noisy but on time.
At £30.00 each way I'm more than happy I can't afford luxury;)
Bags out in really good times as well! Much better then when flying with travel ops you seem to be hanging around for ages for the baggage handlers. But if ever I stray from the path I follow
Take me down to the English Channel
Throw me in where the water is shallow And then drag me on back to shore!
'Cos love is free and life is cheap As long as I've got me a place to sleep
Clothes on my back and some food to eat I can't ask for anything more0 -
poppyolivia, although its quite obvious you havent read my posts properly, or maybe you have and dont understand the no brainer points i have made, i do not work for ryanair, i suspect pinkladez thinks i do too, thats why she wont be drawn on explaining any of her story, it just happened ok!!
why you decide to but in and insult me...god only knows, i keep thinking you might have something to say on the subject of ryanair and stansted, but thats not going to happen is it.
yes pickle, im not surprised airlines treat you like that, and as for security, time and time again the "im no securtiy risk bad attiude" winds up both security and passenger0 -
ynot2005 i havent bothered explaining my story as i do not feel the need to. I simply made a coment about my own experience of ryanair and stanstead, i dont see why i need to explain anything more than i have done so, as i dont see what difference it will make?
As to whether i think you work for Ryanair- i dont think you do as if you did i would have thought you would have made your own comments then shut up, not go on to be generally quite rude to me and others, wouldnt exactly be good pr for them would it!;)
pickle and popy thank you for your support and honesty on this thread, it really does show some airlines in general are not very child friendly.
i have to say the vouchers and letter i recieved from ryanair certainly made up for the problems i incurred.i am glad i wasnt the only one who complained and that they seem to realise that there was an issue. so i am happy i dont need to justify anything to you ynot2005 as ryanair themselves take responsibility for the problems i had!0 -

So the fact 'I don't believe' you don't work for Ryanair is making you a tad upset, take into account how you're making pinkladez feel ok?
You could have come on this thread saying something along the lines of 'oh thats bad, I've never had any problems with Ryanair'..end of! But no you the big shot have to go on and on reckoning you know it all, you're a bore and a big head and you need to get over the fact that things DO go wrong and Ryanair is not an exception!
END OF!You may walk and you may run
