Hi YM, hi everyone.
Just out of interest, I added up all my figures for now compared to when I had my DMP review in October - everything now costs £66 more a month  And that doesn't include food increases, just rent, petrol, insurance, council tax etc etc.
No wonder I've been struggling . So I'm just trying to work out when to ask for a review to reduce my dmp payments. In the long run - that will add another 6 months to my dmp but it will make a big stress difference to me.
Should I try and sort it now, or wait till review in October?
That is scarey I don't add mine up but my average shop has gone from £60 to £75 and none of you will believe this but it is now more expensive to shop at Netto so we have changed to Morrisons and sainsburys. Sainsburys is expensive but I am so terrified hardly anything goes in the trolley so its a cheap week. Morrisons just does more loss leaders and own brands and special offers so I find it cheaper - I know its weird!
I would change sooner rather than later esp as havent you had to send less one month so your creditors will see its genuine.0 -
Hi newlywed :hello:
Had my review a few months back and I am , to be honest , struggling what with the increase in fuel, food and soon gas and electric . Will have to rethink myself soon and I feel that the idea of a DMP is to have enough to live on and not struggle but still pay off your debts. I am struggling so I think that the creditors may have to take a little less. If they dont like it I have the courage now to go it alone with my DMP although Payplan have been excellent but I have got to the stage now where I feel strong enough to tackle the " bad boys" head on.
Ray I may need some templates though :rotfl::rotfl:0 -
The prices in Aldi have been rising too so now quite a few things are cheaper in Tesco/Sainsbury  Pack of 6 loo rolls went up by 50p a pack in just one week (I don't do the really cheap loo roll).
I shop in Sainsburys for some things, Aldi and Lidl for other bits and then get the rest in Tesco so feel like I'm always food shopping  I go in my lunch time so can only really do one a dayworking on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
I can see open fields from all my windows upstairs (looking past all the grotty semis) but no chippies and no coast, I would love to live near the sea and I would change my wood pidgeons for your seagulls!
You may change your mind if the proposed council tax changes go ahead and you pay more for sea views
Curtains or a hardboard Mural of a forest in the window may be required

Sort it out now. The idea is that you are not stretched and are paying what you can afford. You'll feel much better for it too.
