firstly im really sorry to not have been on here for yonks.have a new puppy so cant get on much.hope everyones ok.
have been doin ok on the dmp although havent been able to increase my £69 month payment on 20 grand so its still goin to take about 25 years!!!!
today i had a solicitors letters from mint loans that i owe £5500 on and cccs are only payin them £5 monthly.they accepted it up to now .....but letter says they want full bal before 25 july or they will start court.i cant afford anymore monthly but i think if it goes to court, the judge will let them put a charge on the house, at the least, cos he wont be able to set the ccj at £5 cos it has to stay at that for as long as it takes to pay off, which will be never cos i think i will be dead, iykwim.
dh has been really good up to now but i fear he may go ballistic if i get another ccj or a house charge.cccs dont open til mon so its really making me physically sick.
i really need you guys to help, especially RAYDAY, if you are there.you have always been really great with advice and you know exactly what to do and prob what mint will do.
i know im askin alot cos ive been away for ages but please help me so i dont resort to anything drastic as i already have bad depression and fear this could be the last straw, as it doesnt take much for me to over react to anything these days.
heartfelt thanks for your speedy replies,
love ilgd xx
I am so sorry I wasn't around I have had my leg up for two days. Two of my daughters birthdays this weekend (sat and sun) and after party on Saturday I ended up at hospital, jeez the price of perscriptions these days no one warns you of that!
Anyway I am babbling but one more bit of babble caus I was waiting to tell ya! We have a puppy tooI will post pictures later so you better come back!
Anyway serious stuff, if Mint is still with the original creditor it could be one last ditched attempt to get more money out of you before they pass it on to a DCA, I really hope this is the case for you.
You know what I will say tough as it is, you have to stand firm and keep the offers the same otherwise they assume you have more than you say. I am really sorry not to have a magic wand but the other thing is have they done anything a little naughty that you can complain about and force them to continue accepting?
Let me know how you get on and sorry I wasn't there this weekend.0 -

Lloyds have written accepting the proposed payment. No idea if interest will stop, the letter is not clear.
HFC have written asking for proof of income, proof or mortgage and proof of education fees (Trips and visits - not Eton or Harrow).
Are they entitled to this? what do I tell them? I think Rayday has experience of this one.
They are not entitled to such information and even the courts don't request anything like that, let me have a butchers I sent a letter to one creditor saying something like.0 -

Had a look through my black file of doom and in response I just basically wrote giving them another copy of the budget sheet from National Debtline and I had checked on National Debtline website and saw that creditor "supported them" so I basically pointed out that they had all the information they needed on that form designed by National Debtline of which they support.0

Not sure if this helps but I got it from National Debtline:
INFORMATION
Creditors will sometimes demand information that they do not need, for example, your employer's address, or your bank account number. You do not have to give this sort of information to them if you do not want to. If they take court action, you will be asked to provide a bit of information about your employer and bank account on the court forms, but that is all.
----
Now I read that as and have firmly stuck by the get the information I want, eg, the budget sheet and thats it, the courts don't request much as above so why is a creditor entitled to more?
I think they like to push it, once you show them you know your rights they go quiet. Not a chance they would get to see any of my details at all.0 -
Hi
Just wanted to update you as I have spoken to CCCS this morning.
They can't help me either! They say I have £15 more each month going out than I have coming in, thats just with my priority 'household' debts alone before looking at what I owe to whome.
I have cut back my spending as best I can. I am now at a dead end as to where to turn, I think even if I do now try CAB they're going to see and say the same thing considering Payplan and CCCS have done so already.
I obviously have to make an extra £15 plus a month. I have 9 creditors so am estimating I will have to find at least an extra £115 a month??
I am not able to change my Broadband, Telephone packages as my contracts dont expire until end of year, I can obviously leave early with both but this means I have to pay a penalty, more money I simply don't have right now! If I could I would stick them all in 1 bundle with the Sky package. That would save me I am sure, how much I am not sure.I am getting concerned as things may change for the worse soon as we have yet to 'renew' the Working Tax Credit for my husband and my Incapacity Benefit eveiw is coming round in November so income can scarily go down.
I am looking for other sources of income including work from home jobs and suchlike.
I don't know where to turn or what to do or go next
Thanks.0 -
Please can somebody direct me to which part of the forum the shopping ans Food budgeting and cost cutting threads are? Anythings worth another try!

I can't advise you on most of it but as far as broadband and mobile are concerned, I would try to negotiate.
Our mobile phones were with Orange and still inside a contract period. We were paying £30 per month each for minutes and texts we were not using. I phoned and asked what could be done what with me being a loyal customer and all that... This resulted in a deal which had minutes and texts closer to our actual usage for £20 per month each and we did not have to sign up to another 18 months.
Broadband/phone/tv - I did the same thing. Asked why I was paying £25 per month when new customers were being offered the same service for a permanent price of £16 (i.e. not just discounted for 3 months). The chap said he couldn't reduce the price but he did slap a monthly 'loyal customer' bonus credit of £9 per month!
Try that first. If it fails, or it's not enough to help, I would suggest explaining your financial situation to them and ask to be released from your contract early. They might just do that.
Good luck.0 -
