whoopiedoodle, post 614 also fab will try out all ideas thanks
welcome alona1 to our gang, halifax ive just managed to get them to agree to a dmp, however they have just told me that their policies just changed and will only be accepting if its about 1% or minimum 10.00 each month, as i owe only about 700.00 im paying them 10.00 - but also they are now charging about 1% interest monthly its about 12.69apr so have lowered the interest rate and no charges though, still better than nothing, however, i have a bank of scotland account with no charges or interest for 12 months but that was sorted almost immediately way back in april - halifax took ages to reply and i had to complain. Also send your letters recorded.
just perservere that my advice to everyone.
rayday - the gang is growing thats fab and that down to you as you are always welcoming -
have a fun rest of your day and off to check out newleyweds info given on the grocery and foodstuff threads,
see ya laters ciao for now MAZ
When creditors freeze interest or lower the rate for a while, when they come to review it, do they tend to just keep it around the same rate??
A few of my creditors have whacked on the interest for the full time of the loan agreement, for example, CITI gave me my balance that i gave to payplan, and then this week they have increased the debt by about 2700.00...!!! Im assuming this is all the interest i would have been paying orginally. None of my other creditors have done this, Does anyone know if i can get any of this refunded, The others i can try and get any interest frozen for the future, but i want this interest refunded....Grrrrrrrrrhh!!!

we have warm brownies out the oven, homemade millionaires shortcake, homemade chocolate fudge, cookies (again homemade) and two birthday cakes! Then I cheat tomorrow and order in pizza lol
That's my whole point - everyone should do the bits of OS that fit in with their life - like home made cakes
I use tesco value pizza bases (with no toppings on at all) then spread tomato ketchup/puree on them and top with ham, chicken, cheese etc - can't be bothered making bases from scratch - pizza should be an EASY meal(and if I had the cash I'd order them in too
)

Hello All,
Im a bit of a lurker but thought id pop in, I started a DMP with CCCS back in April but im having issues with LloydsThey are still taking money out of my account for a loan even though I have cancelled the DD. I am in process of opening a new account to stop Lloyds doing that - they are also phoning me every day telling me I am in arrears with the loan and I need to pay it NOW even though I have explained to them its being dealt with by CCCS. The guys at the CCCS are trying to contact them but have such a backlog and Lloyds are aparantly notorious for being difficult.
*sigh* its all rather overwhelming at the moment. So much for looking after their customers when ive had an account with them for over 12 years, now I am in difficulties they just hassle me0 -
Lloyds are notoriously ignorant really, they just don't seem to know how to handle things you get passed around departments.
http://www.payplan.com/debt-library/miscellaneous.php check out this link to find a bank account not related to any of your other creditors but just a warning, A&L could end up being part of Abbey National and also Abbey have just purchased GE Money.
When it all settles down you can have a go at claiming some of those charges etc. When companies ring just give them your CCCS number or if you get really fed up change your number!0 -

Nick made me a pizza with one of those Tesco ones last night and to be honest I sound snobby now I hated the base! But I am a fuss pot with pizzas I really don't appreciate any that are not fresh not even Asda own ones. Luckily I am the only pizza snob in the house the others make do and double lucky I never really fancy pizza often! But true to MSE ways I do have vouchers of 25% off at dominoes so not so bad! And I will make my own chips, soft drinks etc
Maz! Promise next week will check those links out, this weekend is to manic I do better research when OH is in work
Thanks again to both of you for inspiring me!0 -
Thanks Maz - it's a lovely, reassuring feeling knowing I now have a proper support network. I think it will calm me down a LOT throughout my panic-mode days and help me stop obsessing over my debt!
Have a fab weekend everyone....and if there's any spare Millionaire's Shortbread left over from the party Rayday please feel free to send some my way!

I am a tea snob, jam snob, flora snob and serious bread fusspotLet alone seriously fussy with fruit, meat and insist on brand name washing powder, fabric conditioner and hair products (mostly due to allergies). All possibly frowned up by someone on OS board
Thing is, if you can cut down in other places - you can justify all the rest really easilyworking on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
Thank you Rayday, I have changed the number they are calling to my mobile - at least I can ignore them then until CCCS have more news.
I have applied for an account with Citibank, please cross everything, it seems so silly that I am on a DMP cos im poor, yet Lloyds are taking additional £ from me - how is that going to help?! I even worked for them for a few years, nice to see they look after their own!!
Never mind, im sure it will settle down eventually. And Im having nothing to do with Lloyds ever again.0 -
Write a letter of complaint to Lloyds list all the interest and charges and what you have paid. Request they remove your telephone number as part of the data protection act (they won't) then when they ignore your request write another letter saying you are reporting them to the ombudsman. Worked for me interest now frozen on credit card, loan and overdraft but it's taken 4 months of recorded mail.DMP Support Thread Member 142
