    Hi Everyone,

It's been a little while since I had a look in so I hope everyone's DMP's are going well.

Mine has been going fine with CCCS and in January my payments are due to increase to £132 a month.

However, I have just found out I am pregnant and would like to start putting a little more money aside to stock up with baby items. Because of this I was thinking of going it alone and running my DMP myself.

Have any DIYers had any problems with creditors not accepting offers as you are not going through CCCS or Payplan?

    Thanks

Congratulations on your happy news - like you, I was also thinking of doing a self-admin DMP, my DMP starts officially on 1 January with CCCS (this month I paid them £85 for token payments, due to £500 car repair) and as predicted I am having problems with NR not accepting the offer on the DMP. We owe them £19,000 and CCCS have offered them £83. I would have liked them to have been offered more as our overdraft of £3000 is getting £64. OH is due a small payrise in January and I am wondering whether to use that to add to the £83 and NR would then get their full payment - just really worried re this one as I have heard they are aggressive at pursuing people and as our mortgage is with them, I really don't want to upset them but on the other hand don't want to upset CCCS either. Once the DMP is up and running, does it matter whether the payments are suddenly made direct by the individual...?

The NR is the largest debt, all the rest are much smaller from £3000 to £200. Any advice would be appreciated.

I got everything except the declaration to sign, and a request for creditors bills:confused: .I am only paying £1 a month to each creditor though, as am on benefits.Anyway i'll ring them on monday to see what to do, thanks though:A

If your only income is benefits then you won't be able to do a DMP, you just have to keep paying £1 token payments.

  • Just filled in the forms for my DMP with CCCS today.... should really have done it in the summer when I first came on here, but hey ho.

At the moment finding everything just too much.

My other half has decided he will be leaving as soon as 'the money is sorted out'.

I am in a rotten job who are bullying me ever since I had two weeks off from work related stress (did over 100 hours in 10 days)..... coming home in tears as making things so awkward for me yet cannot afford to leave.

Got a new job, was due to start in May, but have failed the vetting prcess due to my finances.

Have no family to help apart from my Uncle, no brothers or Sisters and lost my Mum two years ago.

Just could do with a friend or two who might have an idea of what this feels like.
If it wasn't for my son I'd have ended everything before now.

Just wanted to say Hi to you, you sound like you're having such a rotten time.
Can't offer any great advice I'm afraid but I hope things improve for you and at least you've taken the first steps to try to sort your finances.
Good luck to you and your son, he's what matters most.
