To be honest CG, MBNA have been one of the better creditors to deal with, at first they sent letter after letter saying 'call immediately to discuss account' or 'can't accept your proposed payment we need another tenner' but soon after the DMP kicked in they settled down and stopped all interest and charges.
We have had no choice but to lower payments for a while so I suppose this will stir all the creditors as they will now be getting alot less than what they thought. What else can you do? If you had the funds you'd pay them all straight away oh well, ding ding round 2!
I just get easily annoyed by the bog standard letters they send you, most creditors don't even bother to acknowledge any of the recorded delivery ones you send when you have walked to the Post Office in the cold, queued up and spent £1.08 on them. How very rude! :rotfl:DMP support thread member 211 :cool:I'm only here to get some medals......honest!0 -
I'm kind of resigned to the fact i've no work, so can't pay at the mo.Fingers crossed CCCS will come up trumps for me, as any spare cash I have with benefits will be put towards my mortgage:o

Hope everyone ok on this sunny but cold Sunday morning
Anyone else have a boring Sunday routine of breakfast, making the roast, changing beds and washing and ironing uniforms ready for school Monday? NO oh I suppose I'm just the sad one then! :rotfl:
Anyone with Sky for their broadband? I am and received a letter last week telling me their free base option was going up to £5 a month next year. Oh  !!!
I know it's only a fiver BUT how much does Sky make a day? month? year? I have been a customer with them for nearly ten years. Greedy that's what it is.
Anyone else notice in Tesco certain items have gone up at least 20p? I have I noticed their bubble bath has risen from 55p to 79p and Heinz spaghetti has risen from 49p a can to 65p, credit crunch price busting offers who they trying to kid?
Rant over for now I've got to put the chicken in
take care xxxDMP support thread member 211 :cool:I'm only here to get some medals......honest!0 -
Another question from me - sorry that's all I ever seem to do
I have posted before about my debt with chequecentre (pay day loan)
I've included them in my dmp and have sent them the same token payment and info as everyone else.
I have opened a new bank account and transferred my salary and all my dd's and so's to my new one except my rent - by the time my new account opened, it was too late to change the date of my SO for that so i put £450 into my old account to cover it.
I've just checked the account today and before my rent SO could be taken out Cheque centre have put through 4 transactions as debit card payments
£110, £110, £100 & £100 = £420
I realise I owe them this money but they've had my DMP letter and I've heard nothing from them since.
They have a photocopy of my debit card which I had to give them when taking out the loan so can only assume they've just tried to put as many transactions through as possible.
Can they do this? I've had NO documentation through the post from them at all.
I can't actually believe this has happened. Now I have no money to pay my rent this month.
I know I shouldnt have put any money into that bank account but I was afraid of missing my rent payment.
I honestly dont know what to do.

Hi all - can I join in? DMP through payplan started last week - I am far too shamefaced to put how much in my sig but it is LOADS and based on my SOA I am only paying the minimum £100. I am soo scared that they will ALL reject my payment offers but hey ho - if I aint got it they cant have it I guess.
I have had two calls from creditors this week and both have been fine - they were both asking what has happened that means I am defaulting when I have a perfect payment history. Does this mean that they are doubting my tales of woe?
I am already working out how to shovel more money at the debt though and my (new) job could mean I earn a hefty commission so wish me luck!!!
Also I wanted to find out how full and finals work? Obviously they wont do these straight away will they but say suppose I managed to save 5k over a few months - would I be better off making a one off payment or saving it up then offering a full and final? (ok ok my debts are £41k EEEKKKKKKKKKK) so obviously a full and final would have to be substantionally more than 5k.
Ooops waffling now but any experience in this would be helpfull'Feel the fear and do it anyway'
DMP - Payplan start date 1/12/08

Hi Lulaloo
really sorry to hear of your troubles with unscrupulous company taking illegal payments from you.
not sure what your DMP payment is ,however it might be worth speaking to CCCS to see if you can miss a payment due to exceptional circumstances.
good luck0 -

Hi Lula, they've taken the payment from the old account? Are you not closing that account?
Unfortunately, there's nothing you can do about them taking the money as far as I know. Definitely tell the bank that you've lost the card and to send you a new one to stop them taking any more.No longer using this account for new posts from 20130 -

I was meant to be closing it but i had to put the money in to cover my rent for one last time before i moved the standing order to my new account.
To be honest i feel a bit like i'm past caring at the moment, I didnt think it was going to be this hard to deal with my creditors.
I'm going to have to speak to my landlord to see if I can pay two months rent next month, but this is going to !!!!!! me in jan.
I'll speak to CCCS and see if i can delay my payment for 1 month
Thanks for your help
