Hi,
I applied for a Cashminder account today to use as a spending account/saving account so that excess funds can go somewhere else without me assuming I can spend them from my other account.
Thanks
Hi Parsley
I applied for my cashminder over the phone on 22nd having been refused onlne on the 21st. My debit card came today along with all the account info. Pin should arrive monday. So, just allow 2 or 3 days for the stuff to arrive.Lou0 -
Hi,
Your co-op account should be fine. My credit rating is shot to pieces and I was referred and got an account. It's only got an electron card, no overdraft or cheque book so there's not a lot of trouble you can get into so there's not much reason for them to decline. I'm sure you'll be fine.DMP Mutual Support Thread Member No 19017/05/08 - Total on DMP: £10025.7007/05/14 - Total on DMP: £1666.20 DFD: July 2017!!Baby Tomos born 5th June 2009 - 6lb 5oz :jWeight Loss Target - to lose 60.8lb by NYE 2015 - 37.6lb TO GO0 -
Hi All, hope you are having a good weekene dso far,
Can anyone help with a question - I have a car on finance which I know is now worth hardly anything, have been paying for 12mths £96, on a 4 Year loan agreement (£3000 loan) car only worth about £950 now, apparantly, I hate the car and want to get rid, can you give the car back to the finance company - voluntary end agreement so early on. I can then go back to driving the car my hubby has which is also in my name, he can then buy the car he wants and we would both be happy.... That is prviding my Hubbie can get finance for another car. Anyone know car loan companies who will not rip us off but will actually give us a loan - our credit rating is through the floor.....
Thanks
Have just spoken to OH and he said that it depends on the sort of agreement you have as to whether you can just give the car back without consequences etc. He suggested I PM you his fax no for you to send the agreement over so he can give some advice. Otherwise, if you let us know what sort of agreement it is (hire purchase, lease purchase etc, balloon payment etc) he should be able to make a suggestion.Lou0 -
Thanks louloujs, will dig out my agreement and have a look. Back soonCurrent Debt £16,364 about to settle following pension payout0

Hi Parsley
Just wanted to say you are not alone with getting miffed at Halifax at the mo, OH pays about £70 to them through the DMP and their charges add up to over £150  to say it's disheartening is an understatement, might aswell throw the payment in the bin each month for all the good its doing.
I have wrote several letters to ask them to stop charging interest and even try the softly softly approach saying that we were good customers and please be sympathetic to our situation, adding interest and charges will only further our financial hardship and the debt will never decrease etc but still no joy. This only annoys us further and I will be putting a claim in for every charge they have applied and I might put up a fight for the ppi too (OH is self employed) worth the price of a stamp just to piddle them off I think.even if its unsuccessful at least I tried.
Barclaycard, Next and MBNA have been the best to us stopping charges and interest almost immediately, this is what I thought would happen from all credit cards but obviously some are more approachable and sympathetic then others. Think it could be luck of the draw, so many people on here yet so many different stories from the same creditors
I have problems with Littlewoods (great universal) although I don't think they are great at the moment :rotfl: charging me late payment fees  I feel another letter asking for charges coming on
Just stick at it, what else can you do? I hope they will all eventually calm down as our debt has increased slightly too even though we are on a DMP!
take care

Check out my signature....I made my 1st payment to CCCS 1st of June and look at my debt. It's gone up. It should start going down again soon though....everyone seems to have pretty much accepted the DMP eventually.DMP Mutual Support Thread Member No 19017/05/08 - Total on DMP: £10025.7007/05/14 - Total on DMP: £1666.20 DFD: July 2017!!Baby Tomos born 5th June 2009 - 6lb 5oz :jWeight Loss Target - to lose 60.8lb by NYE 2015 - 37.6lb TO GO0

I have just filled out the online DMP calculator with CCCS and the screen says that they will be sending me the pack in the post soon.
In my haste to get everything off my chest and do something about this mess, I missed off 2 credit cards from my list of creditors. What can I do about this? Can I change what I have already submitted?I am a Travel Agent My company’s ATOL/ABTA numbers are E7760/3970. It's such a relief to know that someone is there to help.
For a long time we were just ignoring letters and phone calls and kept saying 'Next month will be better' but the situation is just getting worse. My debt has not gone down at all in the last 2 years as I am just making the minimum payments which just covers the interest and late fees (as I cannot get them to change the payment due date).
I always said I would never do a DMP because I was too proud. I thought 'I got myself into this mess so I have to get myself out.' I know I have been stupid. Some people are stupid with other things - I just happen to be stupid with money.I am a Travel Agent My company’s ATOL/ABTA numbers are E7760/3970.
