By the looks of this list http://www.payplan.com/debt-library/miscellaneous.php ... they're connected to Barclays/Woolwich.
Thanks, that's good news.
Thanks for pointing me to CAG, have found a letter which I can send to Newman numpties telling them to go away nicely because i haven't been told who has authorised them to use my data etc etc. Will send my self admin dmp to amex and not newman and co. I am happy to talk to solicitors, which will probably result, but newman and co are animals.Lou0 -

I'm not an expert but I would think you can claim that back. You did agree to a loan with interest when you took it out. You can always ask though but I wouldn't hold your breath.DMP Mutual Support Thread Member No 19017/05/08 - Total on DMP: £10025.7007/05/14 - Total on DMP: £1666.20 DFD: July 2017!!Baby Tomos born 5th June 2009 - 6lb 5oz :jWeight Loss Target - to lose 60.8lb by NYE 2015 - 37.6lb TO GO0 -

If you click on "reclaim £1,000s" at the top of the screen it shows you how to reclaim charges. Not much point in doing it though until all your charges are in and over or you'll be making tonnes of work for yourself.DMP Mutual Support Thread Member No 19017/05/08 - Total on DMP: £10025.7007/05/14 - Total on DMP: £1666.20 DFD: July 2017!!Baby Tomos born 5th June 2009 - 6lb 5oz :jWeight Loss Target - to lose 60.8lb by NYE 2015 - 37.6lb TO GO0 -

I have just sent all my letters with my £1 postal orders. Strangely feel very naughty. Lots of relief, I know I might get some nasties back, but I've done what I should have done months ago. All those payments to credit cards when I should have paid all the mortgage...
I managed to get into the post office at 5.20 and when I asked the lady for 12 postal orders for £1 each she turned into the grumpiest person alive. Very rude but I was so relieved to be there doing something positive with my life that not even her being overbearing could wipe the smile of my face, which made her more uptight. Would have made a lovely Little Britain sketch.
And now I sit and wait.
And pray that my Coop and/or NatWest new account stuff arrives in the morning, or else I could be in the proverbial...
Have a feeling I will sleep a bit better tonight. Even with today's bankruptcy threat hanging over me.
Thanks to everyone for getting me to this point.Lou0 -
Did you send your letters recorded delivery? You should of heard the groans I got when I posted my 14 letters!!!! anyone would swear I'd just won the bingo....

That's hilarious! Yes, it was the icing on the cake when I asked for all 12 to be sent recorded delivery. To get me back, she tried to say that my envelopes were too big to go through the slot in her plastic postal measurement thingy. I wasn't having any of it. I flattened them down extra hard and made sure they went through. Made me smile even more...
Why is that all postmistresses are so miserable? Unless they're spending all day on £1 postal orders I suppose. Funny thing is she'll be seeing a lot more of me when I get my Coop account! I'll have to remember to pay in lots of mixed bags of coins. That'll get her going.Lou0 -
Now that I'm officially a DMPer, please may I join the dmp support club? Pleeease, I like it here...Lou0

Hi Lou - your posting made me smile - the people that work at my Post Office are seriously grumpy so I am in for some fun once I get up and running
Glad to hear you have sent the payments off, it's just a case of waiting and hoping that they are accepted after that. Going to be in the same position myself soon - still talking to CCCS but am more convinced that self-admin is best for me.
I came across a letter template here the other day advising what to say when you were initially sending a token payment and saying you were talking to the CCCS etc. but cannot find it anywhere. Can anyone help?
Can't believe what a help this site has been and I finally feel I am going somewhere after months of sticking my head in the sand. Like you Lou, I am in mortgage arrears because I used the money to pay the credit cards - reckoned upsetting one person was better than having 10 angry people phoning me constantly and whacking on £12 here there and everywhere - feel really silly now :rolleyes:No more credit for me - I will no longer live beyond my means :A
