    Thanks all!
From 1st October I'll be wearing my DMP mutual support number (If Im allowed one) with pride.
Thanks all. A long way to go, but a fab step forward.
Nothing can touch me tonight - I'm almost looking forward to a creditor call now (ok that will wear thin quickly).

You are all fantastic and a have been a great help x

  • Hello everyone. Been very busy hence no posts.

Hello to old and new peeps (not age related!)

Well, I sent an official complaint to Barclaycard about the fees/interest. They sent a letter back saying they would respond to my complaint by 19 August.

Well, guess what? No letter and it's the 20th of August! So, do I now write another letter complaining about them not responding to my original complaint by the date they said? tee hee ....

    Argh :)

I would, and don't forget to send it in that pretty red/pink writing they are so fond of!

Lots of good news on here today.

Riquel, I am so pleased for you. :T

    Nikki-sue, brilliant news. :T

Whoopie, yes write to them. There is nothing quite like harassing creditors. :rotfl:

Well good news with me. My number 2 Halifax account which had £3315 of charges. They were to have the money paid back by tomorrow. The condition was that they would clear the overdraft and pay the rest to any credit card arrears. So anyway today there was no sign of the money. So I phoned them. The girl on the phone put her hand over the receiver to talk to her colleague (very professional). She came back and said that they had until the close of play tomorrow so were still within their targets. :rotfl: She said if the money didn't appear tomorrow to ring first thing on Friday and they'd fast track it. So as if by magic the money appeared - all of it into the current account. :rotfl: So not only is the £1600 OD gone but I have £1700 extra. :j Now if I were a good DFW, I'd pay this off a debt but I think I'll stick it somewhere safe for a rainy day.

I asked about account 3 (thats the last Halifax one). She said they have requested a list of charges from the relevant department and the claim should be worked on in the next few days. Don't know why she needs a list of charges when I gave her one. :rotfl: I'm hoping the fact they have asked for a list is for verification purposes before they make me an offer. There are £2600 charges on that one. :rotfl: So far I have had £2944 on A/C 1, £3315 on A/C 2 and £650 on the visa from Hellifax. Oh it feels good. :j
