Hiya all
Rayday - hope you get to feel better soon
Angel Cake, - if i was you i really wouldnt speak with them - i had to and i told them on the phone they were my worst nightmare no joke
they still are today i got copies of my recent terms of conditions as requested. NO NO NO - i have been asking for the copy of my original credit card agreement since april 08 via their dummies nco and rma - so now back to the pc to write to them again and even though i tried to be reasonable on the telephone they just dont care to understand properley, all they want is more money.
Very sorry for my rant. If you can stay calm and not be drawn into their talk then go for the call - but i would really put everything into writing to them and enter the info the others have suggested regarding cccs, im doing my own plan so had to deal with them. Now my plans are finally set up , im going to be business like and strictly only in writing to persue my charges and cca copies.
hope that kind of helps, unfortunately, im like a dog with a bone when mbna ever gets mentioned.lol
keep happy ciao for now mazSealed Pot Challenge member 1525

Truecall device, stops all the unneccesary phone calls - my sanity has been restored and the peace in the house is truely priceless!:rotfl:0 -
Angel Cake - OH and I both got a similar letter from MBNA saying they have our I&E but do not accept our DMP they would like an additional £30 odd however to make the proposed payments in the meantime. So far have not received any futher phone calls from them. I have a chq ready for the proposed amount to go this month (DMP does not start with CCCS till Sept) with a covering letter thanking them for their letter but disapointed that they will not accept and asking how having our I&E in front of them do they suggest we find the other £30. Also dropping in other creditors have agreed.
Let us know how you get on calling MBNA.February 2013 NSD - 40 -

Thanks Maz and longforthe sun, hubby called them as I could not rest!
Anyway, the women that left the message was not there so he spoke to an equally unhelpful women. She did not seem to know why he had called, said he was returning their URGENT call. She said they have not heard from payplan
BIG FAT LIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 1) the message on my ansa phone said they had spoken to PP today 2) we had a letter from MBNA saying they would not accept PPs offer
Anyway, the long and short of it.......surprise surprise they want more money and then they would only accept a DMP through them not PP.
Hubby was very calm, saying you know we are only dealing with PP and you have our reference number (must have said they 1/2 dozen times - think they are robots and it does not sink in)!
Oh and this is genius.....after the said they had not heard from PP, had no SOA etc.... said the offer we had made was not enough, to which hubby replied, how do you know what the offer is if you have had nothing from PP!!??
Evenutally, women said we are not getting anywhere and would get the other women to call..........
so the story continues.........
Think I will take all your advice and not speak to them anymore - will call PP in the morning to update themDMP Mutal Support thread No 193

Just wanted to pop in and say hi to all. Today is the first day I have not had a phone call every hour from TSB. It may be that they have received the info from CCCS or the 'cease phoning me or I'll do you for harassment' letter has finally got to the relevant department.
On the flip side, Cabot have given up on the voicemail messages and I am now getting their autodialler. As I have caller display, I can ignore them, but sometimes its fun to wind them up a bit... give them incorrect information, random dates of birth etc.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Hi Rugbymum,
Sorry for being nosey but whats happened with the student loans company. How come they're chasing you for money?
x
I have one of the old style loans where you are supposed to defer payment every year until you earn over the threshold. Unfortunately being slightly barain cell deficient I neglected to do this after the first year. DOH! The terribly sad thing is that I have never earned over the threshold since leaving Uni. I have written, with evidence to this effect but they have said that because they have the CCJ they are entitled to the money! This all started because we applied for a student loan for my son!
I hope every one is well.

I received a letter from the evil woman at Mackenzie Hall this morning saying "despite repeated efforts to contact you, we have still not recieved a response" how many letters do these people need? Anyway apparently they have sanctioned a company called Meritforce (nice name) to make a doorstep visit to my property!
I sent off my DMP and token payment by recorded delivery yesterday. All stapled together and the nice lady at the post office told me how to find out if the PO has been cashed, and if my letter has arrived! Soto you Mackenzie Hall!
Meantime the kids have been instructed to answer the door without checking who it is first! Lord it's like being on the run.
These people suck! Just when I thought it was all sorted.:rolleyes:LBM:FEB 2008

Hi everyone
Like lots of others I have been a lurker on these boards for months and have finally decided to take the plunge!
My debts have built up over the years mainly cos of living beyond means and being too generous to family. Had to retire from good job 5 years ago due to ill-health and it's all been down hill from then on. Now my cc's are maxed out I have lived on credit for too long and am borrowing each month to pay min amounts.
I am due to have an op in a few weeks so need to start sorting finances out before then. I am thinking about contacting CCCS and going for a DMP but have lots of doubts/queries about this so hope you don't mind if I bombard you with questions. Main worry is my OH does not know about debt I know you will all say TALK TO HIM but there are lots of other family probs at the mo and I know everything would just come crashing down! I would like to start finding a solution to debts first before I talk to him so at least we could both see light at the end of the tunnel. Also as these are my debts I would like to keep them seperate and I have a ill health pension which goes into a seperate account so I could pay a DMP from that.
The first of my questions is one of my debts (personal loan) is with our bank where we have a joint account and O/D ( a large one) so would they accept a DMP from me? Also what are the chances of them freezing our joint account as that would cause mega probs. I've also read other peoples posts who say some creditors still send debt to DCA or even court which is obviously a worry I naivley thought a DMP might stop this. It seems like you still get some hassle from creditors at least for a few months so I am prepared for this and I'm sure it eventually dies down.Anyway think thats enough for now although i'm sure I think of other questions. Rushing off to hospital app now but just wanted to take the plunge and already feel better for doing it.0 -

Hi shouldnobeta!
Firstly you will probably need to change that bank account because your creditor can dip and take out what they like, it in in there terms and conditions.
As for being taken to court whilst on a DMP this is extremly rare, remember on a forum you mainly get problems posted hence you see a lot of people just starting up because thats when you have the most worries, and when things start to go wrong because thats when you need more support.
From what you say you do sound like it would be less complicated if you told your partner, and telling him when you have a solution is a good tactic. Because you need to change your bank account etc maybe the best time to tell him is when you have spoken to CCCS know your plan of action but need his help to sort a bank account out.
Welcome to the thread and hope the hospital appointment goes ok.0 -
Hi rayday2
