Its highly unlikely it would even flag up. The only time they would start to nose would be if you had a lon with them that bounced. Most accounts run with minimum interaction with any member of staff these days.

I have often cancelled DD's at various times of the month to avoid charges and the only ones that tend to comment are the creditors not the bank :o

Just popping in to say Hi :hello: and hope you all have a lovely day.

Ghosthunter. Take the money out. It is yours and they will only take it if they could and they would have no regrets.

Sleep under a plump matress tonight with all the money to keep you company for a while ;).

  • Should I start a reclaim for bank, credit card and PPi charges now or wait for the infor from National Debtline and until I have a new bank account away from any connections with creditors (credit cards, bank and other loans) first or just get them sent off today and sort this out while the letters are in the post?

First letters (other than Lloyds TSB) will be for data protection info before official claim so as I see it time to get new account and DMP sorted anyway.

Sorry a pointless question probably but just clearing my thoughts.

    Thanks.
  • Hi YM thanks I will, hope you had a good weekend and enjoy the rest of the week.

The money is actually towards a 2nd honeymoon for our 10th anniversary due 2010, we never got to Disneyworld Florida for our original (cos some lodger ran off with the money  ) I am hoping to pay for the actual holiday with Clubcard points and am saving for spending money. Unless luck is in we wont have any kids just me and hubby if we survive that long together ;):o

Hopefully by 2010 the DCA acting on my behalf will have tracked the theiving  down and made him repay the money plus interest! :rotfl: Happy retirment

  • Well at least thats bareably warm. Dont catch sunburn  enjoy!
  • Afternoon everyone my pack from cccs arrived on saturday so when i get home i will start putting everything together

I have a slight concern though, I have listed one of my debts as an alliance and leicester credit card that has my name on it, however the bills and the statements are in my mums name, When she first took out the credit card she took out one for herself and one for me as its my credit card and has my name on it and i pay the payments from it can i still list it as my debt, or do you think that cccs will disallow it because the paperwork is in my mums name?
  • Ghosthunter - some people would say use this money to pay off some of the debt BUT living on a DMP means no credit whatsoever so an emergency fund is vital. Personally, I would stash the dosh somewhere just in case ... use it as a safety net (ie washing machine breaks down, boiler, car repairs etc). Whilst I appreciate we need to pay our debts off, we also need money for emergencies whatever the creditors might think!!!!! (I think some of them wouldn't care if we ended up outside on the pavement with nothing in the world to our name, as long as we paid them their money)!

Misspixie - sorry, I can't help but sure someone will be along shortly :)

Hmmm I am enjoying 30c because it dries the washing very quickly produced by a sickly little rayday.

Trying to suss out how to single handly wash a smelly puppy too, there is no way it involved my new bathroom suite!

Only way to find out is to ask them, would your mum be happy to write a letter explaining the above? Not sure if it would make a difference but who knows.

Is it a big balance? If it can't be included I am wondering if you could put your mum down as an outgoing and then she pay it. If you get what I mean.
