    Afternoon all,

Mrs Tine, excellent advice about approaching the landlords.

Luckystepho, yes it was Blue Monkey's thread but I realise it's a completely different situation and her children are much younger than Suzysu's.

    Peb, good suggestion (I think).

Buffy, I think you might be right about the Solicitor, afterall they are employed by Suzysu so should be working in her best interest not that of any debtors surely? Any legal eagles able to confirm this for us?

Peb, hmmm.... yes. Those would be problems Re: secured Picture loan and receiving funds on day of completion.

Suzysu, sorry I didn't know how old your children were when I posted and Blue Monkey's situation was different from yours anyway. I don't have a clue what temporary or emergency housing is like, luckily I've never been in the position to have to find out.

Anyway, we need to think about how to get you your deposit.

How about, holding a sort of "garage sale" at your property instead of listing on ebay or doing a carboot? It's not going to cost you anything and will help you declutter, so having less to move/take with you? I did this once and raised a few bob. I advertised by paining an old sheet "Garage Sale Here On Saturday" and hung it over my wall for a few days. At least it's a start and you don't have to have a garage, a front garden will do. you ever seen the programme on tv, I think it's called "Everything Must Go".

    Just a thought.

The problem is that your Solicitors also act on behalf of Picture - they cannot complete the sale unless they get confirmation that the form of discharge will be supplied. Picture will not send the form of discharge unless they are paid in full - unless you can get them to agree otherwise. I've never had any success in getting the sub prime lenders to agree anything quickly and as there is equity in the property I cannot see them agreeing to it. Sorry. This is why I made the suggestion re the agents - if you think about it picture are secured borrowing and if you do not pay the agents they will be an unsecured debt. They won't be happy but if thats the only option.....................

Lending Stream charges £25 for every £100 borrowed. This interest fee is applicable for a single pay period. Lending Stream lends up to £400 for a first-time customer. However, there may be a difference in the amount you have applied for and the amount they approve. The exact amount that they approve depends on the outcome of the credit analysis. The minimum lending amount is £80, and you can apply to borrow in multiples of £40 (£80, £120, £160 and so on). Lending Stream offer loans up to £400 for new customers and up to £1000 for existing ones.
