I need some money

I have posted on the 'Loans' board, but they are a quieter bunch than you lot so I thought I'd try here (didn't get one reply over there
). We need to borrow £3,500 mostly for the up-front rent and deposit on a property and the rest for EA fees and to take it off the market.
Can anyone recommend a reputable firm that lends to people with poor credit history or indeed any other way of getting hold of this money.
We have absolutely no equity from our place that we're selling - can just about cover all our fees - and have nothing left for moving costs either. We can manage to pay back the loan on top of our other debts (been on the snowballing calculator) - it's just that we haven't got the ready cash that we need to get a roof over our heads.
Asking family is going to be out of the question too.
Please anyone......any ideas?

I can't get any more credit and although it sounds risky and a bit bonkers I am investigating matched betting.
am a bit scared. and haven't started yet but you know its a plan. just thought it might be an idea.
have you asked you bank etc? are they definitely no nos?

Thanks Buffy - not sure I could make £3,500 doing matched betting (even if I had the foggiest what that was) in the two weeks we have got left. We are maxed out on CCs, have ODs with both banks but will pay it all off. Don't really blame them for refusing. I think it's going to have to be a dodgy loan company, but are any of them better than the others?YOUR = belonging to you (your coat); YOU'RE = you are (I hope you're ok)

Dont want to judge or appear uncaring BUT you need somewhere to live so why are you selling? If you dont have the money to rent can you go to the council?
Shelter are pretty good with advice. Im sorry your in this position but have you looked into what you are doing 100% ( I am sure you have ) Do you have kids?Debt free and plan on staying that way!!!!0 -
Hi and thanks for replying. We have to sell or we would be repossessed. We have a HUGE mortgage and an equally HUGE 2nd charge. We will come out of the sale with about £250 and that's it. The house, BTW, has sold for £260,000 so you can see how much we owe. We can afford to pay the monthly rent, but it's the up-front cash we desperately need. And yes, I have 3 children, so need a 3-bed place. Housing needs can't help - tried them already. It seems so silly when we can afford to pay the rent but just can't find the money we need to secure a place.YOUR = belonging to you (your coat); YOU'RE = you are (I hope you're ok)

hmmm I guess it is dodgy loan then.
I would do some searches on here for names of loan companies, and see if any are better then the others?
((((hugs))))))

Why not try negotiating with the agent/landlord - lots of landlords are having trouble getting tenants and the market is very competative, even without a deposit they may take a chance, gotta be worth a try, especially if you explain the situation about selling (don't need to tell them all the reasons why), Good Luck0

Is the new house smaller than the one you're selling? Can you sell any surplus furniture? Have you got a car? Can you sell that & get an old banger until you are up & running in the new house. I have actually heard of log book loans, where they lend using your car as a guarantee, I imagine the APR would be sky high though!
Also - please don't shoot me:o have the kids got any savings you can borrow & I mean borrow, before you all aim & fire! just for a month or so?
Other than that all I can think of is ebay & carboots, but you aren't going to raise that kind of money in the short amount of time you have.
Wishing you luck;)Comping again - wins so far : 2 V festival tix, 2 NFL tix, 6 bottles of wine, personalised hand soap, Aussie miracle conditioner
