Hello, I guess this is the place to put this.
On 17th of July Firefox 3 is released and Mozzila (the creators) are trying to break the world record for most downloads in 24 hours. I thought as so many of us use Firefox (for free) it might be good to help them out. Also, personnaly, I want to be part of a world record. Shallow, maybe.
Anyway this is the link to pledge and I guess they send an E-mail with the link on the day. http://www.spreadfirefox.com/en-US/worldrecord/
I hope others do join.

Im so sorry. I just assumed It would have been closer to the top.
Maybe a moderator can delete this please. Or close it to fall into the never ending pit of the MSE archive.0 -

Dunno why. IMHO it's a pointless exercise and a barely concealed attempt at getting other people to do their advertising for them.
For example - I sys-admin 4 personal machines. I'm not going to download it 4 times, thus making a mockery of what they're trying to do. I'm sure there are others in a similar position.
And I'm sure 'Patch Tuesdays' regularly beat anything Mozilla will end up with.
And all this ignores all those who are using FF2 and will find their add-ons won't work with 3 because the authors haven't updated them to work with 3 (even if it's just changing the version to check against.)Conjugating the verb 'to be":

The RC3 turned out to be the final build by the look of it.
The official download page for the release seems to be working now.

Best to use the link on that page, since the bouncers are set up to spread the load over all the ftp mirrors.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
