Hi - my Google search is still there - have however lost IE tab which was very useful, although maybe not so crucial now as most pages open fine in firefox.
I've also lost AVG safe search, although I noticed someone else said theirs was still working.
This forum seems to open a lot faster with firefox 30 -

Just in case anyone wants to reinstall FF2 whilst waiting for their non-workig add-ons to be fixed:

oh I do like it asking if I want to save my tabs when I close down0

The Tab Mix Plus add-on did that in FF2 already - it's well worth haing a trawl through the add-ons pages every now and again as there are some real gems thereEGG are a bunch of complete bankers!0

Extensions not working for me that I'm missing:
Open Link in... [this lets you choose foreground tab or background tab when opening links in new tabs.]
FLTS [Focus Last Tab Selected - when closing tabs it goes to the last tab used, rather than simply right to left.]
I've also modified the Copy Plain Text extension to simply increase the max version from 2.0 to 3.0. There was a comment on its page to say that this was working. (This isn't difficult to do - search for this extension on the Firefox site where there's a link to instructions.)
I've considered modifying the other two extensions the same way but as I don't really know what I'm doing I figure it's not a good idea! A little knowledge is a dangerous thing and all that. Also there may be other extensions that do the the same thing that are still being supported.
Or could there could even be a way of achieving this using the options in Firefox itself. I also had an extension that selected paragraphs using triple-click that didn't work in Fx3. But I soon realised that that's the built in behaviour now in any case.0
