All 17 of my extensions are working. So that's not too bad.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Thanks, only reason I haven't installed yet is the possibility of my extensions not working. But it's not like it's a huge hassle to uninstall and go back to FF2 if they don't.Sigless0

Half of my extensions do not work in FF3.0:
InfoRSS
ColorZilla
Email Notifier Toolbar
FEBE
Firebug
Tab Mix Plus
MR Tech Disable XPI Install Delay
Roboform didn't either but at least there's a manual install fix for this. There might be manual fixes for the above too but I haven't had time to investigate yet.
Ones that do work are:
Foxmarks
Download Statusbar
Flashblock
Google Preview
ImageZoom
Statusbar EXEGG are a bunch of complete bankers!0 -

That's disappointing.
Looking at your list, I don't use any of those. Have tried few of them in the past, but I didn't stop using any of them because of compatibility issues.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Hi,
Hope someone can help with a few queries.
I am currently using Firefox but finding it really slow - every time I do something it keeps coming up with "Firefox not responding" and hangs for a long time before it loads any page.
Then it seems to remember some of my bookmarks and pages and other times not!
I would like to try Firefox 3 to see if this improves.
I didn't used to have this slowness problem in the past when I was on AOL broadband but since switching to Vodafone mobile dongle it's been happening - as my Vodafone is supposed to be "warp speed" (!!!) I'm assuming that's not the problem.
I don't understand the problems people are talking of here about "extensions" though and also someone talked about a link to "portableapps" - please can someone tell more about this and also the best place to load this from and if portableapps means a version for a laptop - so do I need to download one version to the laptop and another to the desktop?
A techie dunce, I know! Thanks in advance for any help.
(PS. Do I need to first wipe off the existing firefox version?)

it will tell you to close firefox if you have it open when you install FF3 as it overwrites the files by the looks of it0 -
