Also, I think you must have made a mistake on your electricity - no way it could be that low.

Sue - with 3 children you'd be allowed a lot more than £160 for food per month.

kevin, ref your gas bill, either you live in a 22 bed mansion or the your coupled up and paying for street gas lamps outside, or maybe you run a crematorium?

But his electricity is very low, overall he pays less than me for the combined each month

I don't think your gas expenditure is at all high, my quarterly bill was £230 last time, its usually at least £180 but prices have gone up recently.

Im confused by waht you mean on you have written off the equity in the house.

have you sold the house? Are you alredy divorced and in your divorce you have agreed on 50%?

If you have sold your hosue recenlty, and done something with you half, even if it has gone to your ex wife, the OR is likely to slap a BRO on you, and £50k is a lot to give away!

Please explain. When you go BR please can you let us know what the OR allows, it may help people inthe future.

But again, im not sayign this to be an old record, but the OR WILL NOT ALLOW you expenses for - eating out/meals at work/childrens clothes, and is also VERY UNLIKELY to allow you £100 for holidays ( for the children will be included in mainenance), alike for the childrens clothes.

The house morgage/rent will also not be that high as it would be sold for the equity, so you need to be lookign at costs it will be for a 2 bed, 3 if the kids stay over poss.

PLEASE CAN SOMEONE ELSE EXPLAIN ALSO AS I DONT WANT IT TO SOUND LIKE IM BEING GRUMPY

Lindsay, if you go back a few pages you will see kevin has explained the eating out, it's part of his access arrangements for the children, presumably agreed by a court. Also it's not unreasonable for the children to have clothes at both homes, I get really !!!!ed off when I buy all my boys clothes only for them to end up at their dads.

Yep I know but I was trying to show it was possible to have children and not have to pay out £500 a month on food.

It is different being money saving to going BR in terms of allowances needed/allowed and my post was more an illustration of what it is possible to live on in regards to food.

Errr...just read that back and it makes no sense whatsoever! :rotfl: Think I will go and lay down in a darkened room and come back when my sensible head is on.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.
