I thought CSA make you poay what you can afford? I cant see how the OR will allow private school fees. I hope someone will come along and tell me im wrong.
Also if there is £100k equity in the house, why will they only take £50k, is that due to the divorce? If it hasnt been sold yet and its in joint name i think they will take all of it??? Again someome with more experience on this will eb able to help.
Im not having a go at how much you earn, its impressive! But in BR terms they will take everything that is above essentials, and that means A LOT of your money a month!£2 Savers club £0/£150

kevin, you would have to post you/OH income, outgoings, debts, house value/mortgage owed, car value/hp owed, etc to get a true and honest estimation of what you are going to end up with by way of assets taken (inc car/s), the treat to your home and the potential IPO, the way of it is that an IPO will be 60% of your surplus each month.0

wrt, I have worked hard all my life and will contine to do so, I will never work less to shy away from my responsiblities. Be they to my children or society, that's why I pay £60k in tax every year!
so why are HMRC after your blood?....
look on the bright side, a NT tax code will be ripping in your case!0 -
I also think you will need to argue your car, I do beleive they take the trade in value, so will be less than private value, so you may get to keep it.£2 Savers club £0/£150

I have just one question and i do mean this sensibly, just how much was your HRMC bill:eek:
With such a large equity etc it seems that BR is not the correct route unless its one hell of a bill you may get the judge to refuse on grounds your not insolventThats it, i am done, Blind-as-a-Bat has left the forum, for good this time, there is no way I can recover this account, as the password was random, and not recorded, and the email used no longer exits, nor can be recovered to recover the account, goodbye all ………….

Level term = life insurance/critical illness cover etc. I accept that this isn't a necessity but at the moment do not make pension contributions which would be deducted before net income. I am a self emplyed IT consultant. Irony is I pay Income Tax, Employee Ni and Employer NI (12.8%). So I pay over the odds anyway on tax.
you DONT pay employer Ni if your self employed, thats only for a ltd company, which i thought you said was dissolved0 -

sorry if I sound daft, but what do you mean you own half? Who is the other half with? They will nto just take half if it is with your wife, if you are not divorced yet?
Also, if you have any debts that are joint (as in you applied for them joint not added a name to a card) those debts will then get passed on.
With BR, your priority no longer comes into consideration, as far as the OR will see, the BR will be priority. He will give you living expences, but nothing like you have suggested. For the experts on here to help you will need to give more details. As a parent myself, all my spare money goes on my DD, and I wish that I cuold put her in private education and give my OH £750 a month, but just cant, and with BR that is what it comes down to, they will only allow you what they think is reasonable.
How much are they making you BR for as if £50k at least will be going to it it must be pretty big. You dont need to answer that.£2 Savers club £0/£150
