:hello:dustykitten! And everyone else of course!
I have been feeling really rotten with this cold. I was out all day yesterday doing the garden visit. Fortunately, I was in a car on my own for most of the time, so it didn't matter too much that I was sneezing and streaming. The day went really well, and the weather was good - not too warm, no wind, some sun and no rain. Everyone seemed to enjoy it. Me too, although I stressed to OH and kids just how much hard work it had been. All that visiting gardens, looking at lovely plants, talking to fellow enthusiasts, eating cake and drinking tea
DS2 had a nice birthday celebration - saw The Incredible Hulk. 14 tomorrow, and has chosen to go to a Sushi restaurant as his treat. Very grown up!
I went to the allotment this morning, and hope to add a picture of lunch if DS1 will help. I keep asking him to show me how, but he does it so fast I haven't yet managed to remember.
The lettuce, spring onions and radish are for Tuesday, and the sweet peas I also picked aren't shown. The first digging of the new potatoes is hidden under all the beans! Lunch was delicious. I could happily have eaten just the veggies and not bothered with the chicken! My sister gave me the trug years ago, and I've had it in the garage, not wanting to spoil it by using it. I decided this morning that was stupid - she didn't give it to me to leave in a garage! So, unless I'm digging industrial quantities of veg, I'm going to use it.
This afternoon I planted out the annuals in the front garden - and I really hope the slugs leave them alone to grow.
I'm gardening tomorrow, and will hope to do the kitchen after, very quickly as we have birthday presents to open! I don't think I'll have very much work to do this week, supply seems to have evaporated. I shall keep up with the flying, and the remaining bits on the allotment, - and pack for Spain! It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -

Count me in again this week. Did quite well last week, but lost all get up and go on Thursday so it all went to pot in the end. But the house was and still is much tidier than it has been for weeks.
Anyway, we've all had a quiet and relaxing weekend. DD is poorly and sent all afternoon snuggled up in bed with me sleeping.Gonna keep her off school tomorrow just to give her that extra day to get over it a bit. Plus it means I don't have to go anywhere and can crack on with the flying. So fingers crossed should get loads done tomorrow.

I'm in - my kitchen still looks remarkably clean from last weeks super clean so that shouldn't take me all that long, so I may get through level 3 and the extras!
I finally gave in with DD2's room and have now decided that it would be much better if I were to rearrange it, only problem being that it is long and thin and a single bed won't fit lengthwise across ways under the window - it is too narrow by about 3 inches. So I had a brainwave and rang a friend who is a joiner and asked him if he could build me a built in single bed sized platform accossways so I could put her matress on it and he said that it would be easy to do and will come tomorrow on his way home from work and look at it! I reckon it will make her room soo much bigger looking and she is happy about it too. I will put her little telly on the wall and that will make extra space too, plus there will be alot of storage under the platform. It is all quite moneysaving also, because her bed is broken and needs replacing and it wil probably be cheaper to get Ged to build the unit and re-use the existing matress than to buy a new storage divan like the one she currently has.
DD1 is upstairs on the phone and has been for the last few hours - it's her mobile and she has unlimited O2 to O2 minutes so she just spends hours on the phone to the bf.
Kazmeister - I don't think you are being unfair asking DS to take and pick up DD but I couldn't ask my DD (17) to pick up other DD (10) because there would be world war three as they fight all the time! Unlike you, it is my older one who is the problem, but if I were you I would try it for a couple of days and see how it goes, with the promise of some kind of treat for DD if she behaves, and payment of some kind for DS.Jane

recovering spendaholic - that sounds like a brilliant idea for DD's room!
Electra - Thank you! I'm not quite as boastful about the veggies as I used to be, as I've been growing them for years now (took on my plot when I gave up paid employment when DS1 was 6 months old - he's 18 at the beginning of August...), but I still feel a little smug!
pigpen - Stop wallowing, and go wash! Bubblies are lovely! It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -

Evening all. I'm in but as I didn't do anything upstairs (other than bathroom) this week I'm starting up there tomorrow.
May have DS3 off school as he has a very sore w*lly - any advise welcome. First I thought it had got sore from him moving up a bike (this one has a different shaped saddle) but it is all swollen and red - book says balanitis - anyone recommend anything. I've found a homeopathic remedey - should I take him to the GP?
Going to do some ironing - list laterThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0
