Dusty - not a nice thing to notice, I remember noticing the same thing Christmas eve one year where we used to live. I felt awkward just having to walk past to collect the children from school knowing someone was suffering.
The dustcart came just now and it felt so wrong. I remember when Dad passed feeling that the world should stop and stand still. I think I was correct because there was a private ambulance outside later on this morning. I don't know them well at all but you know what the family are going through.
Not got very far as I decided to wax (well sugar) my legs when I went up to strip the bed. I've had lunch now so I will get on with some bits.
Just put some plums (which were not as nice as they looked) in a pan to make some jam - it will only make a pot but Mum loves plum jam so it will be worth it as the AGA is always on.
Pooh that is a fab win, I bet the kids are delighted. Is anyone still doing wii fit?The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

In theory I shouldn't come back with anything
Catch up later :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -

Poohbear59 - well done, do you do a lot of comps?
No I don't. I was feeling really down after having to cancel holiday plans and I went on the competition bit of MSE. I can't find it today! It was 31st May and lots of things were ending that day so I entered half a dozen competitions and was so surprised today to find I had won something.
After posting grumbles about DH earlier I went upstairs to sort our room and DH was already up there doing it.
I have spent two hours trying to sort out accounts for tax and tx credits claims. I am tearing my hair out.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Well back from hairdressers and one happy bunny! Love the colours, same cut but trimmed and shaped a bit more. £35 for trim and 3 colours:money: , other hairdressers would have been double that.
Collect little un from nursery and then decided to test route for interview on Friday so I now know where it is;) , had to go into town centre through and as there is roadworks was a bit of a faff but I coped with it all, even parked up so DD2 could go loo (found it in council carpark). I wish everything felt "natural" though - guess that will come over time.
Got home and not done a huge amount. Think I need a couple of before 10pm nights as feeling tired. I have managed to:-
S & S kitchen
S & S bathroom
Wipe skirting boards and doors in hall
Mow back garden
As mum comes on Friday I plan to deep clean lounge (as in move sofas) on Thursday and everywhere else is tidy as I did the windown and washed the nets last week;) .
Easy tea tonight me thinks - sausage, HM oven chips, egg and beans. Am fed up of deciding what to eat at the moment due to the ever changable weather.
BONSIBABE - Huge hugs! I've decided to put a pox upon the bar stewards who are causing you all these problems so now not only will there bits shrivel and drop off but they will be covered in pox too;) . Fight the good fight hun!
Best think about leaving to collect DD1 from school, think DD2 will be in the buggy as she seems really tired today.
ETA - nice to see so many familiar faces creeping back in - welcome home.0 -

congrats poohbear
bonsi - sorry it has all turned out like that.
i was hoping for a productive day but it hasn't worked out that way. woken at 4;30 and didn't manage any more sleep after that. so i knew it would be one of those days.
i got ds1 to nursery with another paddy. i then went to my parents, and went for a browse around lidls with my dad and sister and nephew. i wasn't going to spend anything, but kept noticing things we like that were good value, particularly a large bag of spuds and baby milk was about £2 a tin cheaper than other supermarkets so i got 3 tins.
since getting home i have unpacked the shopping, had lunch, put away last nights washing up, washed up todays stuff, and sorted through 2 x boxes of 3-6 month clothes as my boy is growing so quick. i was about to start ironing but here i am feeding again.
i may get a bit done, but i have just over an hour till i get ds and also need to get petrol. i haven't put any in since before sam was born, and he is 6 weeks today so pretty good going.0 -
Bonsibabe, which area are you hoping to move to (in Scotland?) You could email the MSP for that area and explain whats happening, they may be able to speak to the homeless dept and let you get on the list before you come over. Find the MSP list here http://www.scottish.parliament.uk/msp/membersPages/MSPAddressPostcodeFinder.htm
It's worth a shot.
Ok today I have...
Got up
got DS1 to school
Drove DS2 to nursery then realised it wasn't on today
Collected my prescription from the GP
Went to the butcher for tonights dinner
Rinsed washing up liquid out of DS2's eye
Picked up 101 crayons (seriusly)
WM and TD load
Collected Ds1 from school.
And we almost got run over by some stupid bint! Who then decided to give me a mouthfull of abuse! We had started to cross at the road (which is a junction) and she decided to turn left without indicating as fast as she could because there was a queue of traffic, she almost hit DS2 in his buggy, then DS1. So she started yelling out the window about how 'this is a road'.... So I shouted 'Give way to pedestirans you stupid fkn cow! Did you not learn to drive?!' and rammed Ds2's buggy (which has a huge metal footplate that sticks out) at her bumper, then a guy in another car coming the other way shouted at her 'You nearly hit that wean idiot!' before she decided to drive off still giving it large! Finally made it across, but oh don't worry, I have a strange talent of remembering car registration plates and hers has been filled away. Blue 3 door megane.
Right, off to clean poster paints off the bathroom everything, S&S kitchen and start living room.0
