then it hasn't been connected properly in the first place. If you don't want it, ring Trafficmaster and they'll come and take it out.0

I had a second call today from NU about 2pm asking to speak to OH and, for the second time, I have had to tell them that he is at work and not contactable until after 6pm - I know that this is about a cancellation date and I don't want to take a message - something as important as this, should be discussed with the policyholder only.
I am waiting to see if they will call tonight..."A" is for Opple if yowm spaking loike a yamyam!0 -
Doubt it as India is about 7 hours ahead.I hate migraines.0

I am waiting to see if they will call tonight...
It was to quote me their renewal offer. Good idea to get some quotes before their call;)0 -
I phoned them on the day that our policies lapsed. (20minute call)
The guy said that he had the quotes oin the system, but gave me no comfort that they were going to phone me.
He did say that NU would have honoured any claim, but I am not sure I would have wanted to rely on his word.
Perhaps Beccus could let this board know what NU's policy is on this.
I also asked about the motor cert. He advised that if I had got "a pull" from the police then they would have sent me the cert.
When I was doing Elements of Insurance" I thought that you could not back date a cover note or cert., and that the cert. had to be in the Policyholders possession before they could drive on the road. (In the post was not good enough). When I pointed this out he was having none of it. I hope the RTA has been ammended now as this has quite serious consequences for NU.
Anyway, I asked for the quotes. Combined they were just over £875, with most on my car.
My alternative quote was for just over £535.
I still believe that NU have problems with this and are not meeting deadlines. This must casue serious legal implications.
The best they can do is to advise all policyholders of the problem, and what they should do to assist.
I am sure that there are a lot of people out there who do not know their renewal date and are just waiting for NU to contact them as per the original letter that they got that was signed by the Director of Insurance Sales and Servicing.0 -
