NU are not being competitive with the premium they want to charge me after PAYD. Yes, I know they say that it includes discounts that I will get year on year but I have been quoted almost identical cover (I don't need courtesy car cover) for almost £75 cheaper than NU quoted. OK, it will probably go up after the first year, but I'll get quotes again then.
  • :rolleyes2 We are still waiting for a call with our quotation!! Really feeling like a mushroom now....

    Nothing heard here either.

    Does not inspire confidence.

I fthey have a problem I wish they would say so.

I am still waiting for correspondence from another part of NU which should have been here two weeks ago. When I phoned to check they said they were trying to get it out last week. Nothing recieved.

Service is a part of what I pay for.

I have now made a decision not to renew with NU as I am very unhappy with the way that they have handled this PAYD changeover, and also the fact that the new premium they quoted me is is no way competitive. You would have thought that loyalty would play a part but unfortunately this is not so. In my opinion, they should have let the policies run to the the expiry date and just collected the base rate premium until then. I now have accepted a quote from a company who shall remain nameless, which is actually lower than what I was paying in total for PAYD! for basically the same cover and lower excesses. OK, they don't offer the courtesy car service, but I don't need that anyway. Sorry NU, but money talks!

Forgot to mention the difference in cost between my new quote and the NU quote = £53!
  • Hey Hansi, would really like to know who you're going with to see if they would be as good for me.... By the way, we still haven't had a call from NU yet - what a shambles!!

Can one disconnect the device? Is it a simple case of disconnecting one of the wires near the fusebox?

Obviously after the PAYD is finished ofcourse;)
