Whoever's interview is the quickest buys the drinks in the Bankrupt Inn!

    Afternoon all,

i have posted the following already on this other thread re bank accounts but wanted to update my own thread so that i can keep track too.

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=11842043&posted=1#post11842043

Just an update re the bank account situation.

I rang Barclays Customer services and spoke to two very nice people. Got put through to the higher management regarding BR details. I gave them my BR number and explained when this happened. He said that because its only a basic bank account the 'Barclays' have no problem what soever with me using the account as per usual. Also he said it would not be frozen due to it being only the basic account and unless they received instruction to the contrary then it would be fine. I said that the OR would be sending them a letter within the next few days (hopefully) telling them that they have no interest in it. He said that they would update my file and send me any letters regarding the account once contact had been made with the OR.

So i can use teh account as normal without any problems regarding Direct debits and wages.

So Barclays are BR friendly after all..they were all very pleasant indeed.

Also i have signed all my paperwork and sent it back to the OR..had to get someone to witness signature for data protection etc so got my mum to do it... Bless her :D I think she thought she was signing her life away :rotfl:

Not much else to say really so far but im sure i'll have plenty in the coming days leading up to the INTERVIEW

Hope everyone is doing good today, See you in the Inn later for a Beer

    Dave,
You're a salesman. And you have the massive advantage (I'm guessing) of a Newcastle accent. The interview will go like a dream.

Hi Dave, ....I`ve not been on much recently...back to work so little time!!

Anyway good luck on 27th & in some ways having that discussion with the OR is about how, why etc & may well be good to give you `closure` to the recent events.

Its odd how discussing the situation & how it all happened can help us get over the toughest trials of life.

So don`t worry on 27th (...just give him/her your best sales lines etc....I`M JOKING!!!)

    Hi Dave,

Firstly congratulations mate, I'm really happy you got through it. I bet you feel so relieved now! just the OR interview then your gonna feel much better. How can anyone think this is an easy way out! lol

I've been decorating the house to take my mind off my BR. Going to court tuesday arghhh!!! But hey! the house will be spick and span when I've finished haha!! I've still not done my forms but I'm gonna get my head round them today, I'll probably be posting some questions later!

Anyhoo! good luck for the 27th, hope all goes well I'll be thinking of ya.

    Thanks MS..

I was nervous as hell for court but it wasnt anywhere near as bad as i thought. The waiting and not knowing was the worst part. There were plenty of others there going through the same too so nice in a way to know it wasnt jsut me on that day.

i hate when we see comments from non BR or people going through it who say its 'the easy way out' as for sure it was the hardest thing i've ever had to decide on. Anyone reading the posts indepth and not just skirting through them would realise who much of an emotional roller coaster we have all been on. Thanks again.

Good luck for tuesday. I'll be around all today and the weekend so if you need any further help with the forms etc, i can let you know what i put on mine which were accept by the courts so it may help.

Any questions please just ask away.

    Dave.

    Hi Dave,

Thanks for the offer of help, you'll be sorry lol. Here goes.

Just been looking at my forms. Going through them bit by bit. I have paper one's but I might get hold of a printer and do them online.

    Anyhoo!

    1. Both my hubby and I are going BR, do I put down Just my debts and our joint ones and both our wages? Or all our debts?

    2. Car is my hubby's, do I put that in mine or just leave that for him to put in his?

    3. There's not many questions on this form about your outgoings, just about what you own lol. Is it more indepth on the form online? It seems very basic on here like rent, C,Tax etc. Nothing there for extra's.

And finally for now lol, Where do you go to look at the forms online? Thanks for taking the time to help me :D you're a star!!!

Oh yes! BR is an easy option if you enjoy, sleepless nights, worry( to the point of shaking like a leaf at 4 in the morning watching t.v. to try and take your mind off it!), stress, sometimes depression, the feeling of being an outcast in some sad peoples eyes. Oh! and the added benefit of facing the courts and the OR! lmao! anyone who thinks this is easy need a wake up call!!!!

    2. Car is my hubby's, do I put that in mine or just leave that for him to put in his? if its you going BR then hubby's car should be safe...not 100% on that as may be classed as part yours.

There are parts later on section 7, Q 7.1 list of current outgoings, There is space on the form for any additional info to add.

And finally for now lol, Where do you go to look at the forms online?
online forms are on the insolvency website at http://www.insolvency.gov.uk/index.htm section under bankruptcy listed as complete forms online
