I know just what you mean Trisha.............I just love paper and always have grand ideas of what I'll do with it but hate getting the scissors out to it ............OH laughs at me, thinks I've lost the plot:rotfl:

I thought it was just me who bought papers then deemed them too beautiful to cut up or cover with anything else! I've been tempted to just put them in my scrapbook as blank pages because they've got such lovely pictures and patterns on! I've also got loads of embellishments I haven't used because I don't want to 'waste' them... but isn't that a bit silly? I don't want to waste them but as it is they're in a drawer never being seen by anyone!

Thats exactly why I scrapbook instead of cardmaking Mary. At least I get to keep it.

I am the opposite with paper. I can't wait to get it home to use. My layouts have usually got 2/3 different pattered papers on each one so I go through a lot. I don't waste it though as the leftovers are used for another layout in a different place in the album so it doesn't look too obvious. I need to go on a 'stash' diet though as I am currently spending about £100 every month on scrapping and thats far too much. I want to go to Alexander Palace in September to the Scrapbooking Extravaganza so I need to save the pennies between now and then.

Must admit when I was decorating the pages in my family history files I couldn't wait to do it.............maybe that was it. I knew I'd get to keep it all............lol
Sounds like a 'stash' diet is needed ches.............criket thats a lot of money to spend but like you've said before, it can be an expensive hobby.......so easy to get carried away I think.

I've been known to ask for a card back once the recipient has finished with it and I know that they won't keep it! I can't bare to see my work end up in the bin, I like to have it back so I can use the bits off it again!:rotfl:

    Hi Ladies

Didn't know there was so many of us paper strokers as my o/h calls me. I too have loads of embellishments i can't bear to use they are too good for anyone else. lol. How snobby is that. And i don't have to worry about asking for them back from people who won't appreciate them I buy them a cheap one. If they are offended tough. my hubby laughs at me but i don't care if he's not careful i'll buy his that'll show him. lol.

I know its strange that we all find patterned paper so precious and exciting. Some of my stuff I like to just look at and admire its beauty. I ruined a nice piece of paper decorating something the other day and I was gutted!
