Quiksave - I love your gift bag scrapbook - especially the bright colours. It looks great with the corner protectors and the book rings!

Mad-frog - if you're looking for 12x12 cardstock then bazzill is a great range - I have started using it when making my cards as there are so many colours to choose from. Creativecraftworld have a good selection and yesterday when I checked when you added stuff to your basket it deducted 30%, then if you spend over 20 quid its free postage - you just have to select this option at checkout. I've used K and Co papers as my layout paper and although these are quite thin they worked fine for me. Basic grey papers are fabulous - and they are a lot thicker - more like a thin cardstock than paper.

I am really wondering now, do you think if I really knuckle down I could produce a small scrap book in 2 weeks?

Mumhug - I made a little paper bag album in about a week - and that was a real pain - so I'm sure you could do it quicker.

I think it's possible - if you really go for it. I've done one in the past in that time scale. You could print off some embelishments off t'internet and do titles and journalling using Word. Its a lovely idea for a 60th. Start............ NOW!!! :D

qwiksave - your album looks even better now with the rings. Must get some :j

mumhug - I'm sure you could do one in time for your mums birthday. Depends I suppose (I'm far from expert so its just my opinion) on how elaborate you want it to be.
I got some board books and filled one with gardening quotes and embelishments for foster daughters birthday and two small ones for my sons - one artistic quotes and the other music. They took me a while but that was just me being a bit on the lazy side.
You could do one with Mum/daughter quotes in and some pretty embelishments. www.quotegarden.com have loads of different quotes on if that helps.

Woohoo! Guess you're doing your scrapbook then! :D Yes you do both sides of the page - if it not double sided pattern paper you can use two pieces stuck back to back. (I'm asuming your using an album with clear sleeves). HTH

I am not actually using an album I have made the pages out of brown envelopes (a4 ) . I have cut them down to 8x8 size, so that I can use my papers to decorate. then you can put things in the pockets (iyswim). I will put the separate pages together with my crop o dile (when it arrives ;)).

All sounds ok in theory :rotfl:will have to see if it works.

mumhug - that sounds as if it'll be terrific ! Can't wait to see it. Never attempted a paper bag one before.........not sure whether I'd know what to put inside the envelope:confused:
